This sounds like a bug. Rod, can you confirm this behaviour?

I believe it should show the certification level and the actual score.

A delete confirmation would be a good idea.

I think that the entire scope of extending ODF etc is beyond the remit
of Certified Open. OASIS maintains ODF and it's their job to deal with
that. In our case, I believe we are just using ODF as a good example of
an Open Standard.

Dear all
I invented a product called TestInternet. It was created under the new
account 'shanemcoughlan' for the company Opendawn.
When I logged into my account for the first time I saw this page:
http://www.certifiedopen.com/co_logged_in
This could do with a little cleaning and reduction of size. I think
that the text should also link to the documents etc that it refers to.
When I completed adding my new product I submitted it and I was taken
back to this page:
http://www.certifiedopen.com/co_logged_in
I had to navigate to this page to see my score:
http://www.certifiedopen.com/co_list_my_products
I think this is a bug. People should be taken directly to their listing
of products:
http://www.certifiedopen.com/co_list_my_products
Also, the listing of the products should contain details of the score as
well as the certification level. I was a little surprised that my
product got a gold. It was a 100% all the way through until the
business section, but I only gave it one level of top-tier support etc.
I'd like to have seen the detailed scores.
Another note. I clicked around the site a little and then decided to go
back into the database. I went into Product Database:
http://www.certifiedopen.com/product-database
Then I went to Existing Account Holders:
http://www.certifiedopen.com/co_login
Because I was already logged in the screen didn't contain a form.
However, it was pretty blank. I would have expected to be directed to:
http://www.certifiedopen.com/co_logged_in
Regards
Shane

I have seen no further conversation on the Governance Council discussion.
What should be sent to KDE? How do we bring them into the loop? Apart
from KDE e.V. and Alan Cox, who else is confirmed for the Governance
Council?

Georg Greve suggested that you might be interested in the following ICT
standards related events at the upcoming UN/IGF meeting. Anyone
attending is welcome to attend these, and indeed, we'd look forward to
your participation in the audience. Please let me know if you have any
questions.
Kind regards,

--> Discussion oriented conference that will explore the relationship
between "openness" in ICT standards and the problems of digital
inclusion. Focus will be how the current global standardization system
does, or does not, support digital inclusion needs and requirements of
developing economies, how governments view the issue of "openness" in
ICT standards as they develop and deploy government e-services to their
citizens, and what tools are available to developing economies to engage
in international collaboration to improve or leverage ICT
standardization to their benefit.

This workshop will present an update on recent global discussions on the
intersection of open ICT standards, development needs, and public

inherent tension between the public interest and intellectual property
rights holders in ICT standards. This year's workshop will continue the
discussion and focus on tangible policy efforts, such as recent
developments in WIPO, continuing discussions in the WTO Technical
Barriers to Trade committee, policy efforts by various countries in
Europe and Brazil, etc.
Our highlighted presenters are:
* Richard Owens, Director of the Copyright E-Commerce Division, World
Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)
* Laura de Nardis, Visiting Fellow, Information Society Project, Yale
Law School
* Georg Greve, Free Software Foundation Europe
* Robin Gross, Executive Director, IP Justice

Adriaan de Groot (vice-president) is willing to represent KDE e.V. on
the Certified Open governing council.
I need to confirm where and how this new member will be added to the
council. As Georg said in his email of 30/10/07 12:49, how do we proceed?

Hi all,
for your information, Alan Cox has agreed to be part of CO's governing
council as long as we keep it politically neutral (see discussion
below).
His favorite address to use for CO is
alan(a)lxorguk.ukuu.org.uk
as he wishes to keep Red Hat out of this.
So how do we proceed? Do we simply subscribe people who agreed to the
list? Do you want me to do that for Alan?
Best regards,
Georg

It would appear that www.certifiedopen.com is getting quite close to a
release state.
I think it would be quite a good time for members of the board to visit
the site and to attempt to create products in the Product Database to
test usability.
