How is design work coordinated around here? Are we invited to make suggestions (according to the fsf design guidelines) or are there any requests in the waiting queue?
Tasks are coordinated using this list. People make suggestions and requests, they are discussed, and work is posted here. We encourage you to make suggestions of your own, and accept requests for designs as they are posted.

I'm a vegan graphic designer living in Vienna/Austria. Im not only concerned with free software, but with sustainability, animal rights and social fairness in general. I'm constantly trying to optimise my everyday life in order to get more "life friedly" in my actions and ressource usage.
I'm looking forward to working with you in future!
Only with print files and the CMYK color space I have encountered difficulties I couln't solve so far. (Maybe I should have looked colser into color management with Scribus...)
Scribus is good for pre-printing work. I've used it successfully for several items for professional printing. It should be able to meet stringent publishers' requirements. I recommend using Scribus from the start of a project if its intended for print however, as exporting it from another application like Inkscape first and then trying to edit it in Scribus can take a lot of time.

I've downloaded the styleguide already in order to have it even in non connected emergencies. ;)
When I was using Scribus on windows it seemed to be impossible to get rid of too much contrast in images I imported with Illustrator .eps files. But that shouldn't be an issue any more since I'm working with free software only now.
Thanks for your advise to start with Scribus in the first place if I want to use it for generating print files.
