Can someone here create a sticker with the Free Software Free Society text and a "fsfe.org" (in Nimbus Sans L) below? Would be good for laptops (Think about the color, too.) https://fsfe.org/contribute/designers/styleguide.en.html
Thanks, Matthias
Hi Matthias,
did you want it (minimalistic) like the attached file?
Best Franz

Sorry, about my late reply. Thanks for the proposal.
<critical head on> Why should I put that on my laptop? I think we have to make it a bit more intersting so people can put it on the laptop. Maybe b/w where just the the text stuff is sticky, or transparent ones? Or more nerdy... <critial head off>

Hi;
it's me again. I just added the binary coded text "freeasinfreedom" in the background. But don't tell anyone it's supposed to be a hidden feature.
by the way: I need to test if the QR-code is big enough.
regards,
phil

This one looks cool!!

Hi,
I've also got a proposal for you.
Format: 115mm x 55mm (plus 1mm bleed difference)
If you want it to be a different size, just let me know. It strongly depends on the printing office. It would also be good to know what colour profile the printing office uses.
I deliver a printable PDF/X3 when you like it.
Kind regards, Phil

Thanks a lot. Being critical today ;) I would not yet put it on my laptop.

About the sizes I do not know.
What about combining www.fsfe.org and the logo the way we have here: http://download.fsfe.org/advocacy/ilovefs/graphics/RZ_PNG_red_v1/FSFE_ILOVEF... or here: https://fsfe.org/order/2008/tshirt-mdf-green-back-large.jpg
Would you use it with a transparent background? Should we make the sticker round? Or what do you think, how can we make it cooler?
Regards, Matthias
Hi Matthias,
What about combining www.fsfe.org and the logo
seems efficient. I like it. I'll do that and see what else I could do to make it more attractive.
I thought it should have a white background; so it got a similar look as the website. Most laptops are black or dark in colour. And that way the sticker could loose attention. I would go for a rectangular shape. This way less space on a rectangular desktop lid is wasted. Or with other words: It's more space-efficient.
laters,
Phil

Ok, looking forward to see new proposals! Matthias
Hi Matthias,
I fiddled around a little bit with the colours and tried to make it more nerdy. My first thought was to use only binary code instead of letters. But that seemed too nerdy. So I settled for a QR-Code. But I still like the binary idea a bit. I'll see what I'll come up with.

phil
Hi everyone, Matthias,
I was wondering what the status of the sticker is. Do you want it refined or are you satisfied with any of the proposed versions?
Regards,
Phil
