Hi all,
I have a problem: I recorded an interview using Audio Recorder [1] and now I miss the half of the voice. However, I see a low amplitude in many cases, so I have hope there is still some audio available. Is anyone here a pro in Audacity or any other tool and can maybe help me to recover the audio? That would be amazing.
Best, Erik

Maybe a simple tool like sox [0] can help you? It's able to adjust gain/companding (and much more).
Best wishes Michael

Hi Erik,
I can take a look at it, if you upload me the sample somewhere?
Nice greetings, Peter
PS: Audacity is "nice", but the most professional (and awesome) audio editing FOSS tool is "Ardour": http://ardour.org/
