Hi Friends of Free Software,
as computer aware people you will know that the biggest fair of the world (at least this is what they claim) CeBIT is opening up the doors for the public tomorrow.
Of course a lot of people will be there. The LinuxTag is organising a little conference on Saturday where Georg will speak about the FSFE.

This mail is just to let you know that I will attend on Thursday and Friday in misson for my company. (I know that Peter will be there on Monday and Tuesday.)
If somebody is interested in meeting me personally, you can mail me your mobile number or possible position today and there is a chance that I drop by or can arrange something.
I will not have a permanent e-mail connection. Bernhard

Hi Friends of Free Software,
Software Patent Debate on CeBIT
For people interested in the softwarepatent debate, there will be a board discussion in German organised by the ComputerZeitung on Thursday. (Cebit, Hall 1, Booth 5a9 , 22. March 2001, 15:30 )
The interesting part is that Harmut Pilch, heart of the German Software Patent resistance and president of the FFII e.V. will participate. (Disclosure: I am vice president of the FFII.) You can see the problems in explaining the issues to pro-swpatent people.
Details in German: http://ffii.org/archive/mails/neues/2001/Mar/0013.html
Help spreading the word about Software Patent Problems on CeBit
The FFII also needs your support in getting the word out about the problems of software patents on the CeBIT. Contact the activists: patinfo@ffii.org
They have to paper things ready which you can grab and spread, if you feel like it:
Survey Questionaire (in German):

The famous Patent-Adventure (partly German, Adventure in English).

The FFII also gives away a couple of thousands "no e-patents" stickers after the debate.
