sorry for intruding, but is there any chance his discussion could go off-list? I think Rui's as well as the Samba teams' positions are perfectly clear to everyone by now, and we all have had our chance to form our own opinion (even if we don't feel any need to contribute it to the discussion right now), and we might all be prepared to move on to the next subject?
