Mieux vaut tard que jamais, je me présente. Commençons par l'état civil : Valentin SCHMITT (aka O'bibi), 23 ans, français.
Géographiquement parlant je suis originaire de Toulon, pour trois semaines encore étudiant à Calais, puis très sûrement stagiaire à Paris (en tant que sysadmin dans une SS2L, reste a décider laquelle) jusqu'à début septembre, ensuite c'est assez flou mais rien n'est exclus, de l'année (black) sabbatique à l'autre bout du monde au métro-boulot-dodo parisien.
Mes engagements pour le Libre sont plutôt maigres quant au temps investi, même si la liste fait plutôt étalage : - membre fondateur du GULL ToulonuX http://toulonux.tuxfamily.org/ ; - étudiant en dernière année du master Ingénierie du Logiciel Libre (I2L) à Calais donc ; - président et membre fondateur de l'association UNG (UNG N'est pas un GULL), asso des étudiants et anciens étudiants du master I2L http://masteri2l.org/ ; - membre (discret) de l'APRIL.
Pour le reste : Beaucoup de musique, surtout blues-rock-metal, de la basse, du thé, de la bière (belge), comme Jil je prends l'option fromage et comme Hugo "Up the Irons !".
J'espère ne pas m'être trop étendu.
Quelles suites donne-t-on a ces présentations ?

J'ai rejoint la Fellowship assez récemment (il y a 2 semaines), je n'ai donc pas pu participer à ce chat, mais merci Jil quand même pour le journal :) À mon tour de me présenter : Thomas Jost (alias Schnouki), 24 ans, français, originaire de Forbach (Moselle), habitant à Nancy.
J'ai fait des études d'ingénieur et j'ai été diplômé de Supélec il y a quelques mois. Histoire de rigoler un peu plus, j'ai décidé de continuer par une thèse en informatique : je suis donc actuellement doctorant au LORIA / INRIA Nancy Grand Est, où je travaille sur des solveurs linéaires sur GPU (quelques détails sur ma page pro : http://www.loria.fr/~jostthom/). Un environnement de travail bien sympathique, entouré de gens qui utilisent principalement du logiciel libre (les 2 développeurs Debian compensent l'utilisateur de Mac qui ne jure que par Emacs ;-)).
Côté Logiciel Libre... je suis tombé dedans en 1999, avec le n°1 du magazine "Linux Pratique" et son CD de Redhat 5.2, et ça fait maintenant 4 ans que je n'ai plus d'OS non libre sur mon PC. Depuis, je suis devenu accro au LL, à GNU/Linux (surtout Arch Linux...), Python, LaTeX et GNU Emacs.
À part ça... Lecteur assidu de BD, fan de Star Trek et de bonne musique ("bonne" dépendant hautement du contexte et pouvant varier entre Vivaldi et Iron Maiden, avec une nette préférence pour Sigur Rós), amoureux de la fille la plus géniale de l'univers, procrastinateur compulsif.
J'ai rejoint la Fellowship parce que je me sens proche des valeurs défendues par la FSF et la FSFE, et parce que je souhaite m'investir un peu plus dans la défense et la promotion du libre. Et si au passage ça permet de faire connaissance avec des gens sympathiques avec qui aller boire une bière de temps en temps... et ben tant mieux ! :-)

Tout pareil pour moi, le 25 février je n'étais pas encore un fellow fsfe (alors que je suis un fellow fsf depuis déjà quelques années, je ne connaissait pas la fsfe.. :(). Je vais donc moi aussi me présenter rapidement.
Vincent Demeester, 25 ans, originaire d'Annecy en Haute-Savoie et habitant et travaillant (malheureusement) sur Paris pour l'instant.
Je suis ingénieur, diplomé de l'Ecole Centrale d'Electronique (qui n'a de centrale que de nom), en ayant fait un petit intermède de 6 mois à l'University i Oslo, en Norvège pour faire quelque chose d'enfin intéressant. Je suis utilisateur GNU/Linux depuis 1999 même si cela ne fait que depuis 2004 que je n'ai plus de machines sous Windows (hormis une au boulot :(). Accro à Emacs (mais je ne crache pas sur vim :)), Python et au niveau distribution Archlinux. Et hors monde informatique, je suis un fan inconditionnel de musique de tout genre (et d'une radio parisienne, la bien nommée Radio Nova, et ces coffrets) ; je suis fasciné par la culture japonaise (même si j'ai récemment découvert que c'était également le cas pour plein d'autre culture..). Et je fut un peu sportif, puisque je ne peux pas me passer faire de ski l'hiver, ne pas faire de randonnée l'été, de faire du cyclisme et du footing quand je ne suis pas derrière un écran.
FSF et FSFE parce que après tout, s'ils ont veut que ça bouge (sensibiliser les gens, etc..), il faut y mettre son nez :).

PS : Ah oui, j'ai oublié de précisé que je fut un inconditionnel des t-shirt de lafraise.com.. Et que je vais parfois au travail avec un seet "The Pirate Bay", histoire de provoquer un peu mes patrons ;)
