Hallo Fellowship(s)! Wir freuen uns erstmalig den Socializing Sunday bekannt geben zu dürfen! Die Idee: Was ist der Socializing Sunday? Der Socializing Sunday soll Gelegenheit bieten sich auch einmal außerhalb der gewohnten Arbeitstreffen oder den Standbetreuungen kennen zu lernen. So gibt es keine Agenda, keine Ziele die zu erreichen wären und natürlich keine Formalitäten! Wer ist eingeladen? Kurz: Alle. Jeder ist eingeladen, der sich der FSFE und/oder den Fellowships verbunden fühlt. Ganz besonders würden wir uns auch über die Familien und Freunde der Fellows freuen. Wichtig ist nur, dass ihr uns (cw(a)fsfe.org oder wg(a)fsfe.org) eine kurze Mail schreibt, wenn ihr kommt. Einfach damit wir auch ungefähr wissen wie viele Getränke wir einkaufen müssen. Und wo ist das? Eigentlich hatten wir vor den Tag auf der Donauinsel an einem der dortigen Grillplätze zu begehen. Doch alle sommerlichen Termine sind bereits seit langer Zeit vergeben. Für nächstes Jahr sollten wir früher buchen, ganz klar. Für dieses Jahr bieten sich nachfolgende drei Grillplätze an. Bis zum 28.05.2016 können sehr gerne noch Hinweise zu den Grillplätzen gegeben werden, insbesondere, ob es konkrete Einwände gibt bzw. einer gestrichten werden sollte oder es einen noch viel besseren gibt. Ansonsten: Jeder bringt Futter für sich mit :-) e) … ? @Grillen/Vegetarisch/Vegan/Fleisch Ob wir getrennt grillen können, hängt davon ab, ob uns jemand einen zweiten Grill leihen kann. Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde der Freien Software, am Freitag den 17. Juni 2016 findet ein Fellowship-Treffen in Wien statt. Wir treffen uns ab 18:00 Uhr im Heinz Zemanek Saal der Österreichischen Computer Gesellschaft (1010 Wien, Wollzeile 1, 1.Stock; bitte bei OCG anläuten!). Die Agenda starten wir voraussichtlich um 20:00 Uhr, nach der Projektvorstellung TurtleStitch. Ab 18:30 stellt Andrea Mayr-Stalder ihr Projekt TurtleStitch vor, eine auf Freier Software basierende Plattform zum Erstellen von Stickmustern zur Ausgabe an Stickmaschinen. Salut! Vielleicht für den einen oder die andere von Interesse … Grüße, w.g ------------------------------------------------------------- Open Source aktuell ------------------------------------------------------------- Einladung Als IT-Unternehmer ist es mir persönlich ein Anliegen, auch Open Source in den Mittelpunkt zu stellen. Es freut mich daher besonders, dass wir als Fachgruppe UBIT und Interessenvertretung der Wiener IT-Dienstleister*innen nach längerer Zeit wieder zu einer Aktivität unserer Experts-Landesgruppe OSEG einladen. Bei den Linuxwochen Wien wurde gemeinsam mit der IoT Austria als erster Schritt der Special Track IoT und Industrie 4.0 organisiert. Das Event war aus unserer Sicht ein toller Erfolg und hat eindrucksvoll die Leistungsfähigkeit des regionalen Ökosystems in diesem Bereich demonstriert. Als Konsequenz arbeiten wir an der Organisation eines Konsortiums mit, das eine Interessenbekundung für die Errichtung einer Industrie 4.0 Fabrik basierend auf Open Hardware, Open Source und Offenen Standards beim FFG / BMVIT einreicht. Das und weitere Themen sind Themen unseres OSEG-Stammtisch am 31. Mai, zu dem wir herzlich einladen. Der Stammtisch findet diesmal im Rahmen des nächsten q/Talks (Thema: good by privacy) bei der Quintessenz statt. Hallo Fellowship(s)! Wie man seit gestern sehen kann[0] ist dieses Jahr für uns in Österreich gut ausgebucht. Abgesehen von den vielen Informationsständen und möglichen besonderen Veranstaltungen (z.B. der FSFE Summit), glaube ich, dass wir beginnen sollten für 2017 "vorzubauen". Ich würde gerne das kommende Halbjahr dazu nutzen, gemeinsam in einer Arbeitsgruppe und mit dem Fellowship Österreich, zu erforschen und schlußendlich auch zu entscheiden, welchem zusätzlichen Projekt wir uns in 2017 verschreiben wollen. Dazu gründe ich hiermit offiziell eine Arbeitsgruppe. Der derzeitige Titel lautet: OrdentlicheStrategieFindungsArbeitsgruppe2017. Die Aufgaben würde ich mir in etwa so vorstellen: (1) Brainstorming - wir sammelen (unkommentiert) alle möglichen Projekt- und Kampagnenideen, die einen Bezugspunkt (auch nicht gleich offensichtliche) zu Freier Software und den Kernaufgaben der FSFE hat. (2) Die Arbeitsgruppe trifft sich ordentlich und rediziert das Ergebnis des Brainstormings auf ein erträgliches Maß. Könnte ein sehr Diskussionslastiges Treffen werden. Viel Kaffee und gute Nerven wären sicher nicht verkehrt. :-) (3) Wir versuchen so viel wie möglich direkt auf der fellowship-austria Mailinglist zu besprechen, sodass alle Fellows in Österreich partizipieren können - unabhängig vom Wohnort. (4) Zeitliches (a) 6 Wochen Brainstorming ab ca. 01. Juni (b) 1. Arbeitstreffen Ende Juli / Anfang August (c) 4 Wochen Diskusionsrunde der Ergebnisse und öffentliche Abstimmung auf der ML bis ca. Mitte September (d) 2. AG-Treffen im Oktober in Form eines ganztägigen Workshops. Wir arbeiten das Projekt/die Kampagne im Detail verstärkt aus. (e) ... Wie wir nun mit den Ergebnissen aus dem Workshop umgehen, wird vermutlich der Workshop selbst zeigen. (5) Optional: Irgendjemand denkt sich einen etwas knackigeren Namen für die Arbeitsgruppe aus... Soweit meine Vorstellung für das laufende Jahr. Ich möchte diese Vorstellung an dieser Stelle auch sacken lassen. Das bedeutet aber nicht, dass sich nicht schon direkt Fellows bei mir melden können, die Interesse haben auch in den Arbeitsgruppen mitzuwirken.
