Subject: Report: Fellowship Group Euskadi/Cantabria/Galicia founded
Meeting at Euskal Encounter, Bilbao, 2011-07-24 17:00 - 18:30
Attendees: Some 15, almost all professionals, from misc.
universities, groups and companies
I (Rainer) explained very briefly the motivation to organise
that meeting. An introduction round followed.
As most of the people talked spanish far too fast, I understood
almost nothing - therefore I hand over the keyboard to Alejandra,
Dani and Mikel:
In the meeting, people comment about the reality of the groups.
Some of the weakenesses are: not lot of people and lack of
organization in a global sense.
The proposals are:
- To use FSFE as an umbrella to coordinate all of us
- A mailing list and a wiki, just to start working together,
mainly to share a calendar with the events organized by the
local groups. (remark Rainer: I explained that those tools
are existing and waiting for to be used)
- A coordinator that will change every 6 months. From now, it
will be Dani Gutierrez.
- One or two meetings per year. Next one will be in december,
so a new coordinator will be chosen.
The goals for the team will be decided as short-medium term
goals, we should be able to get them in a year.
Rainer: It seems that this Fellowship Group is finally founded.
I am absolutely happy with that meeting and its results.
