Terve Timo, Olisiko sulla kiinnostusta a) suomentaa PDFreaders-kampanjaan liittyvä pyyntökirje julkisorganisaatioilla b) järjestää FSFE-tapaaminen Helsingissä, jossa talkoohengessä kerättäisiin tietoa adobe reader "mainoksien" näkyvyydestä julkishallinnon sivuilla ja lähetettäisiin kirje ko. virastolle linkin vaihtamiseksi pdfreaders.org:ksi? Mulla on työn alla VALO-CD-projektin kansainvälistäminen, joten mun vapaaehtoistyökiintiö on aika täynnä. We are now thinking about the best & cheapest way to send out all the letters, and for that, a national sending of the letters is always cheaper than an international one (especiallyy with German post rates... ;)). Would you be ready to send the letters to the 5 Finnish institutions? FSFE would prepare the letters, send you the PDF files, and could also pay for the stamps. If you also want to act as a contact partner for the Finnish institutions (since nobody in our office can speak Finnish), we could also add you on the contact of the letter. If not, your task would basically be to send the letters, and we would deal directly with the questions. It is easy, but would help us a great deal. Can you please tell me until the 29th of October if you could do that for us ? Another big help wouldconsist in helping us finding someone that could actually translate the letter into Finnish, because even if Scandinavian people are known for being the best English speakers in Europe, they surely would prefer to be addressed in their Native one... [Finland] Stats from fsfe-fi@ -list?

Hello, I'd very much like to collect statistics about how many subscribe to fsfe-fi@. Since we havn't got any new Finnish fellows, this would be the second best indicator of our success. Could you please add the following crontab line for the user that owns the mailing lists? 0 4 * * * /bin/date|tr -d '\n' >> $HOME/fsfe-fi-stats.log; echo -n ', ' >> $HOME/fsfe-fi-stats.log; $HOME/mailman/bin/list_members fsfe-fi | wc -l >> ~/fsfe-fi-stats.log (I assume your mailman installation is normal.) Then you should have a second process that would copy the log file somewhere I have access to, so that I can manually check how the subscriber amount grows by time.
