This ties in with the current conflict about the revision of the European Interoperability Framework.
We're working both publicly

and privately, by contacting key people in the EC to highlight the importance of Open Standards.
We're also coordinating with various friends and allies in Brussels.
The fact that Document Freedom Day took place today was quite helpful in building more pressure.
