Hi,
you probably saw that two days ago I launched a campaign to power my project Elog.io to the next level, something I've been working on for the last two years. As Mike Linksvayer pointed out in his blog post (http://gondwanaland.com/mlog/2015/02/03/attribution-revolution/), this is really about “making provenance available on demand”, for free and open digital works, in a way that makes this information useful and actionable.
While the first tools to use Elog.io focus on photographs, the system in itself is media agnostic and support video and sound just as well. But in order to get there, we need to close our current fundraising campaign and make sure that the project sees tomorrow (as I'm writing this, two days into our campaign, we've raised $2,032 out of $6,000). If you haven't yet checked out the link in my last mail, here it is again:
I really appreciate your support – it's just a few clicks, and it makes a difference.
If you've already clicked – THANK YOU! Here's a link directly to the campaign page where we keep posting updates about the campaign: http://bit.ly/1y2adt4
If you want to know more about what's powering Elog.io and our thoughts behind it, this article over on Libre Graphics World published yesterday is a good start: http://libregraphicsworld.org/blog/entry/elogio-give-credit-to-creators-or-d...
Sincerely, Jonas
