Katerina,

I have tried to contact Brian and ask for his view on that, as you suggested, but I’m afraid he’s not available in these days since he hasn’t reply yet.

Now, I have spent a huge amount of time on this impact tasks and I truly can’t drag them anymore.

I’m still struggling to get the full picture on this whole process of surveying participants, although I asked for clarifications many times.

It was pretty clear to me (from what discussed and from what I can read from the application) that the platform would have presented only the “pre-course diagnostic tool” as a built-in survey.

For these reasons, I would just leave everything as it is. We will only use the surveys to collect the numbers required by the proposal and by you. In fact, I don’t see how the surveys you wanted me to develop would be useful and meaningful at all if deleted in half.

The template to collect case studies from SMEs will just stay in the .odt format, in order to allow the maximum flexibility for everyone. Responses can be thus taken with every means of communication (face to face interviews, by phone, emails, etc.) and, if needed, partners will be allowed to fill in the template themselves putting down the answers received by SMEs representatives, if needed.

Now I see the preparation of this “impact” part as finalised and we’ll get back on that as soon as we have the IO3 available (to develop the final “other stakeholders” survey).

Best,

Hi Francesco,

I was expecting your reply last Friday. Can you send me by today your thoughts and decisions on all open issues? I need to finalise this by tomorrow the latest.

Hi Katerina,

as already discussed, the stakeholders survey (i.e. “the formal consultation”) will have to be based on the Policy Recommendations developed within IO3. This is how it is described in the proposal. As such, the questionnaire will be developed (in collaboration with OFE) as soon as we’ll have at least the first draft of the output. The additional survey you saw in Limesurvey is currently blank, as I asked Max to create it in advance (I don’t have an admin account to do it myself).

Concerning your point 3, I see your point of getting two things in one single survey, but I’m afraid the SMEs survey would become a really long one if we’d add also the case study template. Moreover, I remember the Swedish team expressing their concerns about sending online questionnaires to the SMEs, since according to them they would prefer offline documents. Then, I think maybe the best option we have here would be to have both the .odt file and a new separate online survey, letting everyone use what they find more convenient.

Concerning your point 4 and 5, I will try to reach Brian and ask for his opinion on the matter. If not available, we’ll just make a decision by the end of the week.

Best,

Dear Francesco,

great qualitative work. I appreciate it. I am positive that all partners will be able to work independantly following your guidelines in this new chapter. I have now read it and already updated the file as required. The remaining tasks for you on this are:

1. In the folder K:\team\foss4smes\1. Management\A5 Quality Plan\Impact tools please add the survey for the stakeholders. I found it in Limesurvey, so I inserted the link in the document already.

2. I inserted all these word files as Annexes in the Quality Plan, so that we can submitt them as one file during final report period. Please insert the stakeholders survey in the Word file (see p.67)

3. The SMEs case study template has great questions. Since it is adressed only to SMEs I propose that you include inside the SMEs Impact Survey. In this way, we can cover 2 things in one. Write then in the Quality Plan that this is a group of questions inside this questionnaire. If you think it cant work this way, please suggest alternative. f.e. new online questionnaire?

4. Inside each impact survey there is a section called "Performance Matrix". These questions are the same with our questions in the " Post-Course survey (self-diagnostic tool) ", the only difference is that they are on lesson and not unit level like in Moodle. I think it is too much from our side to ask the same thing twice. We need to keep one questionnaire on this. Please discuss with Brian (if he is still available). Otherwise advise on your decision.

5. Inside each impact survey there is a section called "Reflection statement". The first question there is the same with our question in the " Final Thoughts " survey in Moodle. I think it is too much from our side to ask the same thing twice. We need to keep one question on this. Please discuss with Brian (if he is still available). Otherwise advise on your decision.

6. In certain impact tools you provide the reader with the same links as provided for the impact surveys. Since these tools are a group of questions inside this one survey, then dont provide the link again. This may confuse the reader that he/she needs to send this link again. Just write that this is already included above ...... etc.

Please send me the updated file by 05.07, so that I can start the required imports next Monday. If you have any questions, you can quickly reach me in Skype, so that we solve them as fast as possible.

Thank you in advance for working so hard on this. I am very confident that this was crucial in order to reach the required results in this project. The final report will be very much based on these.

Best,

Katerina

Hi,

please find in the keybase folder \team\foss4smes\1. Management\A5 Quality Plan :

  • The updated version of the Qualiy Plan (v2.0)
  • The .odt files of the impact surveys (SMEs, VET and partners)
  • The template to collect SMEs case studies.

Please note that the links for the online version of the surveys provided in the new chapter of the Quality Plan are still not working. This is because the Limesurvey system does not allow us to make any further change once the surveys are activated. So I think it would be advisable to perform at least one last check before going live, otherwise I would need to re-do the whole three questionnaires from scratch for the fourth time.

I fixed in particular the following points in accordance with the round of opinions we had last week:

  • Added a question on the country of origin of respondents;
  • Added a question to provide the email address of respondents;
  • Reduced the number of questions;
  • Left-aligned answers in array questions

If you want to check the online version of the surveys, please access the Limesurvey system using:

Username: francesco.agresta
Password: 98beQ5hx4jZH
Click here to log in.

I hope everything is fine now. Please advise on how you want to manage this and what kind of integration you have in mind with the moodle platform.

Regards,

Hi Francesco,

thank you for completing so many tasks this time. We waited long, but I am happy that they are away from our to do list.

What is the status of the Quality Plan chapter on impact tools? I wanted to have Moodle ready by tomorrow, but I need your input so I can do the final imports. Please send me by tomorrow all you have ready and I will take over the rest - we cant wait on this any longer.

Thank you in advance.

Best,

Katerina

Translations of O1/A2: Dlearn will provide an executive summary (2-4 pages max.) for the 2 deliverables of O2/A2 by 28.06.19. Information is overlapping in them, so it makes sense to develop one singe executive summary.

 [KT1] to  be able to provide contacts for the stakeholders matrix) we stress the importance of providing content for use under usage scenario 3

Important Notice due to delays:

Since the O2/A4 which was planed to be finished by May is not done, and the translation of Units was internally/in Dublin planned for July, I decided that we should all proceed with O2/A2 (translations) first as originally planned in the project. As soon as I tell you that all content is in Moodle in English, you can start working on your country's version. ATL will clone the English course for you. Then, you would need to log in, click on "turn on editing" and you will be able to copy paste your translations replacing the English text. In this way, you can be sure, that you dont miss a spot. Due to the delay, ATL will not import the translations, but will provide you with guidelines on how to complete this task yourself. Each of you will and can have a different rhythm concerning the remaining steps. SKUNI will not be able to coordinate their activity due to holidays of all partners, so we will be working independently. Important for the project is that all partners have the results of their O2/A4 process before our meeting in Brussels. Here is our timeplan adjusted accordingly. Please get back to me by 28.06. if you have something against this suggestion.
