Over de belastingaftrekbaarheid van de donaties: hiervoor moeten we zorgen dat we door de belastingdienst worden aangemerkt als ANBI (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling). Dit schijnt ook te gelden voor organisaties in andere lidstaten van de EU dan Nederland. Ik wil wel uitzoeken hoe we dit precies kunnen gaan regelen en hiervoor een stappenplan opstellen.

Ik heb mezelf nog niet officieel geintroduceerd. Dat doe ik dan nu:
Mijn naam is Martijn Brekhof en ben bijna 35 jaar. Geen kinderen. Ik ben wel een doorgewinterde IT'er. Ik heb mezelf op mijn 10e leren programmeren in BASIC op een Atari 600 XL. Informatica gestudeerd aan de UvA, afstudeerrichting Intelligente Autonome Systemen. Op de uni in aanraking gekomen met Unix en Linux. Daarvoor AmigaOS :D. Na mijn studie begonnen bij een startup in Amsterdam met als doelstelling een business unit op te richten waarbij we kunstmatig intelligentie in zouden zetten voor allerlei automatiseringstaken. Verkeerde doelstellingen en verwachtingen hebben er toe geleid dat het nooit van de grond is gekomen. Eventjes bij de Universiteit van Leiden gewerkt op de UNIX/Linux en Middleware afdeling. Twee jaar geleden verhuisd naar Arnhem en zo verzeild geraakt bij AT computing waar ik nu werk als Docent/Consultant.

Leuk om te weten wie jij bent. Atari 600, mmm retro. Ben zelf van de 5.25 inch floppy-generatie op een 8086, maar had er wel wat voor over gehad om een atari 600 te hebben :-).
Vind het mooi om te zien wat voor verschillende achtergronden we hebben en toch allemaal belangrijke idealen delen. Ben erg benieuwd wat we in NL kunnen opbouwen.

Ik heb in navolging van de reacties op het initiatief voor een meeting wat datums via datumprikker voorgesteld. Op dit moment hebben (voor zover ik weet, ben ik iemand vergeten?) Mark, Winand, Jelle, en ik interesse in een dergelijke meeting getoond. Als er nog andere zijn die ook graag bij de bijeenkomst aanwezig willen zijn laat dat dan even weten. Ik voeg jullie dan toe aan de datumprikker.
Winand heeft een locatie in Amersfoort voorgesteld. Op zich heb ik daar geen bezwaar tegen. Utrecht komt mij wel beter uit aangezien ik daar op dat moment dan ben voor mijn werk.

Ik zie dat overal als tijdstip 17:30 staat. Was dit een bewuste keus? Mijn voorkeur gaat namelijk uit naar ergens overdag (liefst 's ochtends) zodat ik op tijd thuis ben om mijn dochter van de creche te halen. Met dat voorbehoud zal ik hem invullen. (zaterdagen kunnen wat mij betreft ook wel, regel ik een oppas)
Wat locatie betreft vind ik zowel Amersfoort als Utrecht prima, is beide goed bereikbaar vanuit Deventer.

Ik vind A'foort en Utrecht geen probleem.
Mijn voorkeur gaat overigens uit naar de avonden op doordeweekse dagen. Ik denk dat dit ook het beste te combineren is met werk en eventueel weekeindactiviteiten.
Utrecht en Amersfoort is allebei prima voor mij. ik wilde dit op pakken als ik klaar ben met mij RHEV cursus maar Martijn was me voor. Prima Overdag is denk ik wel wat moeilijker qua werktijden.

@Jelle: Die tijden zijn inderdaad bewust gekozen en voor mij het vroegst dat ik ergens kan afspreken. Vroeger is voor mij geen optie in verband met werk. Kun je eventueel wel later op de avond? @iedereen: kan iedereen ook eventueel later op de avond?

Twee jaar geleden verhuisd naar Arnhem en zo verzeild geraakt bij AT computing waar ik nu werk als Docent/Consultant.
Ik ben pas een paar maanden lid van de FSFE. Had dat al veel eerder moeten doen, maar is er nooit van gekomen. De reden dat ik lid ben geworden is dat ik altijd al met vrije software werk en ontwikkel. In het Amiga tijdperk ging het dan onder de noemer public domain. Het belangrijkste vind ik dat het mogelijk en leuk blijft om vrije software te kunnen maken en te gebruiken. Bedreigingen die ik hiervoor zie zijn hardware restricties en triviale patenten. Ik ben dan ook van mening dat een focus op alleen software te beperkt is en dat open hardware en open netwerken (communicatie-middelen) net zo belangrijk zijn.

Ik zou ook wel naar een fsfe-bnl meeting willen, echter zit ik wat vol met mijn agenda. Is het misschien een idee om in de omgeving van Utrecht Centraal een keer wat te avond eten te nuttigen met zijn allen? Op een vrijdagavond bijvoorbeeld?
PS. Ik heb iedereen uit de CC lijsten gehaald, omdat ik hopelijk nu kan aannemen dat deze personen zijn van de mailinglijst of dit in de nabije toekomst zullen zijn.
