Die Frage ist ob andere Werke gleich genutzt werden wie Software. Wenn eine Software mir eine bestimmte Tätigkeit verbietet, schränkt mich das sehr in meinem Handeln ein und ein Software-Autor kann dudurch viel Macht auf die Benutzer ausüben.
Das stimmt natürlich, aber es geht ja nicht darum, dass _jeder_ seine Werkte unter freie CC-Lizenzen stellen sollte, wie wir das für Software wollen.
Es geht mir darum, dass man von einem _Verfechter_ Freier Software eigentlich erwarten sollte, dass er diese Geisteshaltung auch in seinen anderen Werken an den Tag legt. Sonst wirkt das irgendwie halbherzig.
Eine Dokumentation (online Hilfe) sollte meiner Ansicht nach unter einer Lizenz stehen, welche Änderungen erlaubt. Dies hilft anderen Menschen. Sie können die Dokumentation verbessern und daher z.B. ein Programm besser verstehen.
Das sollte meiner Ansicht nach sogar für jedes Werk gelten, das über bloße Meinungsäußerung hinaus geht. Es gibt auch Sachtexte, die _keine_ Software-Dokumentation sind. :-)
Wenn ich z.B. einen politischen Aufsatz schreibe, dann ist dies nicht notwendig. Wenn jemand eine andere Meinung verbreiten will, dann kann er dies mit den Möglichkeiten die ihm vom Urheberrecht gegeben werden, wie zitieren, machen. Hierbei entsteht meiner Ansicht nach kein Schaden für die Gesellschaft.
Als Autor eines solchen politischen Aufsatz hätte aber _ich_ zumindest ein Interesse daran, die sachlichen Bestandteile von politischen Überzeugungen weitestgehend zu trennen. Denn erstere machen hoffentlich den größten Anteil des Aufsatzes aus, und finden als freie und "unpolitisierte" Texte vielleicht größere Verbreitung.
Als Positiv-Beispiel fallen mir spontan die CCC-Stellungnahmen ein, bzw. deren Gutachten, die sie hin und wieder für verschiedenste Insti- tutionen erstellen. Natürlich liest man eine gewisse Grundstimmung heraus, aber alle wichtigen Punkte werden belegt, es ist ein Sachtext. Und darauf setzen dann die Homepage und diverse Blogs auf, die den Sachtext als Grundlage für eine politische Meinungsäußerung nutzen.
Und die FSF / FSFE fahren oftmals auch diese Strategie, wenn ich das richtig in Erinnerung habe.
Ich finde das auch ganz sinnvoll, denn wenn ich Leute nicht von meinen persönlichen Ansichten überzeugen kann, dann doch zumindest von den Fakten, die diesen Ansichten zugrunde liegen.
Mein Anspruch bezieht sich dabei nur auf den Sachteil. Reine (politische) Meinungsäußerungen benötigen in der Tat keine freie Lizenz, das würde ich eher wie Echtzeit-Kommunikation handhaben, also komplett ohne (CC-)Lizenz.
Vielleicht wird das mit folgendem Schema klarer.
A) Folgendes halte ich für eien faulen Kompromiss:
Politischer Aufsatz, Meinung und Fakten gemischt (CC-BY-ND)
B) Für die Gemeinschaft wertvoller fände ich:
Politische Meinungsäußerung ("all rights reserved")
&
Sachtext (CC-BY-SA)
Natürlich ist B) schwieriger, und bei den meisten Autoren geht B) wohl nachträglich aus A) hervorvor. Aber andererseits muss der Sachtext auch keinen wissenschaftlichen Ansprüchen geügen (falls doch, umso besser).
Nein, der Sachtext braucht lediglich so weit aufbereitet zu sein, dass der Autor keine so tiefe emotionale / persönliche Bindung mehr zu dem Geschriebenen hat (dafür ist der Meinungsäußerungs- Teil dann da). Nur so entsteht eine Grundlage für die weitere Zusammenarbeit, und damit einen "höheren" Wert für die Gemeinschaft, den man durch eine freie (also _wirklich_ freie) Lizenz unterstützen sollte.
