Eine solche Analogie ist von Anfang an zum Scheitern verurteilt. Bei Freier Software geht es im Freiheit, nicht um Entgeldlosigkeit.

Wenn Du vorschlägst auf Grund der immensen Wirtschaftsproduktivität ein Grundgehalt für jeden vorschlägst, dann ist dass vielleicht eine interessant politische Frage. Diese ist jedoch völlig seperat von Freier Software und besonders der GNU GPL.
Auch wenn Du es vielleicht als Scherz gemeint hast. Das Missverständniss muss ich doch aufklären, weil wir noch genügend Menschen den Unterschied zwischen materiellen Gütern und Logikalien begreifbar machen müssen. Scherze verwirren da oft mehr.

Es war ein Augenzwinkern dabei, kein purer Witz. Es hat einen Kern...
Das Missverständniss muss ich doch aufklären, weil wir noch genügend Menschen den Unterschied zwischen materiellen Gütern und Logikalien begreifbar machen müssen. Scherze verwirren da oft mehr.
Der Unterschied zwischen stofflichen und informationellen Gütern ist wichtig. Aber bedenke folgendes:
- das Copyleft verhindert Knappheit, und Knappheit ist Vorausetzung für die Warenform.
- Freie Software ist damit faktisch "wertlos", keine Ware (nur ein Gut), obwohl Copyleft "is about freedom not about price" - das "wissen" alle, die trotzdem Geld mit FS machen wollen, weswegen sie etwas Knappes mit der an-sich unknappen Software verbandeln (Service, Hardware etc.)
Nun geht die "Analogie" los:
- der informationell-algorithische nimmt zu Lasten der stofflich-operativen Aspekts in der Güter-Produktion immer mehr zu - all diese Informationen (Wissen etc.) sind eben auch kopierbar und können grundsätzlich durch Copyleft entknappt, also entwertet werden - deswegen gibt es auch freie "Hardware"-Projekte, bei denen eigentlich "nur" der informationelle Anteil befreit wird.
Mein Fazit also: Auf der platten Oberfläche geht es nicht um "Entgeldfreiheit", schon deshalb, weil die GPL explizit was anderes sagt (Gebühren...). Aber die Wirkung ist faktisch eine Entwertung, eine Befreiung vom Wert. Das mag man schlecht finden, weil man FS dann nicht verkaufen kann. Ich finde es aber gut, weil es neue Perspektiven jenseits von Kaufen und Verkaufen aufmacht. Hätte RMS "verkaufen" im Sinn gehabt und nicht Freiheit, dann hätten wir heute nicht das GNU-Projekt (Freie Software aber schon, da bin ich ziemlich sicher).
