für das Freie Software Projekt Fairnopoly suchen wir Verstärkung für das Gründerteam: Einen Systemadministrator und mehrere Ruby on Rails-Programmierer.
Fairnopoly wird ein fairer Online-Marktplatz im Besitz der Nutzer. Wir möchten den etablierten Riesen Ebay und Amazon als Sozialunternehmen ernsthaft Konkurrenz machen. Unsere Stärke ist dabei ein neuartiges Geschäftsmodell, das den „Crowd“-Gedanken ernst nimmt: Wer auf dem Marktplatz handelt, erhält dafür automatisch Anteile an dem Unternehmen. Ebenso alle, die bei seiner Entstehung mitwirken. Wir suchen speziell:
1. Systemadministrator
Aufgabenbereiche: • Aufbau und Wartung der Applikationsserver (Softwareseite) • Aufbau und Wartung eines MySQL-Cluster Systems • Aufbau und Wartung einer Monitoring-Lösung • Administration der Server (Software-updates, Software) Gesuchtes Profil: • Fundierte Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Linux-Betriebsystemen • Erfahrung im Betrieb von Datenbanken (MySQL oder ähnliches) und Storage Systemen • Erfahrung im Betrieb von Webserver/Applikationsserver Systemen (Apache, JBoss, Torquebox) Darüber hinaus hilfreich: • Kenntnisse in der Performance-Optimierung von Web-Anwendungen • Erfahrungen im Umgang mit Monitoring Systemen • Erfahrungen mit Ruby on Rails-Systemen in Produktion
2. Ruby on Rails-Programmierer
Aufgabenbereich: • Programmieren Marktplatz-Plattform (inkl. Social Media Funktionen) mit Ruby on Rails Gesuchtes Profil: • Fundierte Kenntnisse in der Programmiersprache Ruby und dem Framework Ruby on Rails • HTML5 und CSS Erfahrung • Java-Script-Kenntnisse erwünscht • Erfahrungen im Umgang mit Git Darüber hinaus hilfreich • Kentnisse in Java und Erfahrung mit JBoss/Torquebox • Erfahrungen mit Twitter Bootstrap
Bis zur formellen Gründung des Unternehmens arbeiten wir alle im Gründungsteam nach dem Prinzip Arbeit gegen Anteile. Ab voraussichtlich Mitte Oktober werden wir uns dann Honorare/Gehälter zahlen können. Auch Teilzeit-Mitwirkung ist möglich. Mehr dazu unter www.fairnopoly.de/team

Das Vorhaben klingt sehr lobenswert und ich wünsche euch alles Gute, dass es funktioniert. Daher schon einmal Entschuldigung, dass ich nichts Inhaltliches beizutragen habe, sondern "nur" die Form kritisiere, aber:
Mir ist aufgefallen, dass die Aufgabenbereiche überspezifiziert sind. Zum Beispiel ist konkrete Software festgelegt (Ruby On Rails, MySQL), obwohl die einzustellenden Leute das laut Aufgabenstellung ohnehin selbst aufbauen sollen. Was wäre, wenn ihr super Leute findet, die aber auf Python oder Haskell schwören? Oder einen Sysadmin, der feststellt, dass für euer Vorhaben PostgreSQL eine viel bessere Wahl als MySQL ist?
Und was ist, wenn die Spezialisierung auf Linux potentielle FreeBSD- oder OpenBSD-Admins abschreckt, obwohl letztere Systeme vielleicht in Punkto Stabilität/Sicherheit viel mehr Vorteile bieten? Gerade, wenn es um Märkte, Geldtransfer und Vertrauen geht, könnte das relevant sein. Möglicherweise ist Linux tatsächlich die bessere Wahl, aber woher will man das wissen, wenn man durch die Vorauswahl schlimmstenfalls nur Leute im Team hat, die nicht anderes kennen?
Zudem finde ich es sehr merkwürdig, dass dieses Projekt einerseits auf Unabhängigkeit von großen Firmen und Investoren abzielt, aber andererseits sich genau dieses einhandelt, indem es konsequent auf MySQL setzt. Was macht ihr, wenn Oracle noch mehr Mist baut? Ich hätte hier wenigstens MariaDB erwartet, oder wiegesagt PostgreSQL.
Ganz besondere Besorgnis erregt aber folgender Punkt bei mir:
• Java-Script-Kenntnisse erwünscht
"erwünscht"?!
Wenn man in solch einem Projekt auf JavaScript setzt, dann entweder ganz oder gar nicht. Selbst wenn es "nur ein bisschen" JavaScript ist, an "unkritischen Stellen", und "rein optional", so ist das sogar besonders gefährlich, wenn sich keiner im Team wirklich damit auskennt und niemand glaubt, dies sei notwendig.
Denn in solch einem Projekt darf man sich keine groben Patzer oder Sicherheitmängel erlauben. Von Anfang an. Sonst ist das Vertrauen sofort dahin. Und ein größeres Vertrauen bei den Nutzern zu finden - das ist gerade in der Anfangsphase der einzige Bonus, den das Projekt gegenüber anderen Projekten (eBay, etc.) hat.
Hier fehlt mir die Klarheit, ob ihr JavaScript einsetzen wollt (und entsprechend befähigte Leute sucht), oder komplett auf JavaScript verzichten wollt. Einen "Mittelweg" halte ich für gefährlich.
