Mahlzeit!
Ende 2015 ließ mir mein Vermieter eine funkende Wanze mit Bewegungs- und Helligkeitssensor in die Wohnung einbauen, weil angeblich gesetzlich so gefordert. Damit es einmal jährlich ohne Betreten meiner Wohnung auf Funktionstüchtigkeit überprüft werden kann, funkt es alle 3 Minuten einen unbekannten Funkspruch nach draußen. Nebenbei soll das trendige Teil auch noch vor Rauchentwicklung warnen. Auf meinen Protest hin beschied mir mein Vermieter, dass das alles hochseriöse, 200-prozentig sichere Technik sei, hergestellt und verbaut von Techem, einer der treibenden Kräften hinter dem gesetzlichen Rauchwarnmelderzwang.
Meiner Meinung nach dürfte sowas ja nur möglich sein, wenn das Gerät aus Standardbauteilen plus freier Firmware besteht. Tut es aber nicht. Hat sich schon einmal jemand mit dieser Baustelle beschäftigt?

grundlegend könnte man ja wirklich mal mit entsprechender Technik schauen, was da konkret übertragen wird. Ein Argument, welches ich immer mal hörte war, dass bei dem geringen Energieverbrauch bei Batterie-Betriebenen Geräten, kaum relevante Daten übertragen werden könnten... Aber "Vertrauen ist gut - Kontrolle ist besser".

Sehr interessant! Die Datenschützer Rhein-Main hatten sich ebenfalls kritisch zu Rauchwarnmeldern geäußert. Nun werde ich aus der Berichterstattung nicht ganz schlau: Die Klage richtete sich anscheinend nur gegen den hohen Ablese- und Übertragungsrhythmus, nicht aber gegen die digitale Erfassung und Funkübertragung. Der letzte Satz im ersten Bericht spricht nun von möglicherweise höheren Kosten bei der alternativen Lösung. Wenn es weiterhin bei digitaler Erfassung und Funkübertragung bleibt, dann sehe ich nicht, wieso es teurer werden sollte. Höhere Kosten wären natürlich eine schöne Retourkutsche, um jemanden abzustrafen, der auf seine Privatsphäre pocht.
Andererseits eröffnet die digitale Erfassung mit vernagelten Geräten immer noch die Möglichkeit, dass das Ding täglich protokolliert, obwohl nur einmal im Jahr abgelesen wird.
Bemerkenswert finde ich auch wie immer, wie Verantwortliche mit Gewalt versuchen, an möglichst viele Daten zu kommen und wenn sie dann ausgebremst werden, spielen sie die Unschuldslämmer und behaupten, sie wollten mit den Daten gar nichts weiter anfangen. Aber es ist ja alles super, weil konform mit hohem deutschen Datenschutzstandard und dreimal zertifiziert.
