Ja, der ist wirklich sehr nett, auch wenn er den Kern Linux als Betriebssystem bezeichnet und von einer "globalen Community der Open-Source-Szene" spricht, bei der dann der Schlüssel zu den Daten läge.
Wenn ein gutes Format verwendet wird, dann können auch Anwendungen, welche nicht Freie Software sind, die Daten "aufschlüsseln". Die Anhänger von Freier Software und GNU/Linux wären dann zwar sehr gut eingebunden, aber eben nicht allein.
Gut finde ich, dass der Artikel die Relevanz für nicht-Programmierer klar heraustreicht.
