Konstanz hat einen neuen Oberbürgermeister gewählt, der im Wahlkampf groß von Nachhaltigkeit geredet hat. Daher überlege ich eine Kampagne zur Umstellung der Verwaltung auf Freie Software zu starten. Immerhin wird er vorraussichtlich 8 Jahre OB sein. - In der Zeit kann man viel erreichen.
- Gibt es bereits Mailinglisten, die sich allgemein mit dem Thema beschäftigen? - Gibt es fertige Reader, Argumentationshilfen oder Zusammenstellungen von Studien/Fallbeispielen? - Wen könnte man bei Interesse der Verwaltung als Experten einladen? - Ich würde auch gerne eine Liste von Firmen anfügen, die sich mit dem Thema auskennen, z.B. Credativ, Tarent, Gonicus, Univention, Intevation, ...? Gibt es eine Übersichtsseite von empfehlenswerten Firmen?

Gut kenne ich nur ein Negativ-Beispiel, nämlich den Kanton Solothurn. Die Geschichte ist hier beschrieben: http://wilhelmtux.ch/index.phtml?PID=71&MID=1 Die kantonale Verwaltung hatte vor Jahren eine Migration auf Linux und Open Office beschlossen, und obwohl diese auf gutem Weg war und dem Kanton Geld gespart hatte, erreichte eine Kampagne unzufriedener Benutzer, dass der IT-Chef entlassen und eine Remigration auf Windows beschlossen wurde. Auch wenn dies möglicherweise orchestriert wurde, wurde wohl zu wenig gemacht, um die Angestellten zu motivieren. Beteilt war auch die Firma Univention, welche sicher daraus etwas gelernt hat und dies vielleicht weitergeben kann.

Sehr unglücklich ist, dass LiMux auch proprietäre Software beinhaltet.

Ich denke, es ist ein sehr großer Schritt in die richtige Richtung.
Wenn man gleich zu viel verlangt, erzeugt das nur Frust und man erreicht letztendlich gar nichts. Also bitte nicht das Kind mit dem Bade ausschütten!
Dass es auch vollkommen schief gehen kann sieht man halt in Solothurn und Amsterdam.

Ist mir nicht bekannt.

Da finden wir bestimmt jemanden bei der FSFE oder können Dir jemanden vermitteln. Kommt dann drauf an, für welches Thema genau.

Nicht von der FSFE, weil wir als FSFE hier neutral sein wollen. Du könntest mal bei der OSB Alliance schauen. Allerdings sind das leider nicht alles Freie Software Unternehmen.

Such' mal bei Xing & Co. nach "FOSS", "OSS", "Open Source", "Freie Software" und ähnlichen Suchbegriffen, da findest Du eine ganze Menge Freelancer und kleine bis mittlere Büros.
Bei den großen hast Du noch SerNet, science+computing und die LIS AG vergessen.
Es lohnt sich auch, bei der zu erwartenden FOSS mal auf die entsprechenden "Commercial Supprt"-Seiten zu schauen.
