hat jemand den Ueberblick auf EBook Format? Ich schaue an die Moeglichkeite Epub, Pdb, und PDF und weiss nicht welche den Verbraucher mehr Freiheit anbietet. Am besten hat den Format:
Struktur (...Text ausgeschlossen) Genaueres Layout (...HTML ausgeschlossen) Gute Unterstutzung von Anwendungen
Eine offene Standard muss natuerlich vorlegen. Gibt es so was? Was nutzt ihr als EBook Format wenn ihr die Wahlt habt?

Ich bin mit deinen Ausschlusskriterien nicht einverstanden, verwende selbst am liebsten Text oder HTML, welches auf meinem Maemo-Smartphone im Programm MGutenberg sehr lesbar angezeigt wird. PDF ist hingegen auf kleinen Bildschirmen kaum lesbar, da die meisten Dokumente für Druck oder grosse Bildschirme gespeichert sind und eine Umformatierung durch das Anzeigeprogramm nicht möglich ist. Natürlich kann man die Darstellung vergrössern, muss dann aber mühsam herumscrollen.
Natürlich ist PDF für reich bebilderte und gelayoutete Bücher auf einem grösseren Bildschirm OK, leider gibt es aber auch PDF-Versionen mit DRM.
Ich habe noch kein einziges EBook gekauft, weil ich die Preise für zu hoch empfinde und weil ich grundsätzlich nichts mit DRM kaufe. Die Verlage machen denselben Fehler wie die Musikindustrie. Dafür lese ich mehr Klassiker, die z.B. bei Projekt Gutenberg erhältlich sind.
Wichtig ist eine Lesezeichen-Verwaltung, damit man nicht dauernd die Stelle zum Weiterlesen suchen muss.
