Moin, bei dieser Heise-Meldung zeigt sich, warum es gut ist, Produkte nicht an proprietäre Apps und Dienste zu hängen:

In diesem Fall würde die App nicht mehr funktionieren und E-Bikes wichtige Funktionen verlieren."
Jetzt kommt ein anderer Hersteller und macht eine weitere propritäre App. :/
Cool wäre es, wenn ich an der Hardware mit einem Code einstellen könnte, wer Zugriff darauf hat. Und wenn das Protokoll offen liegt und es Freie Software Apps dafür gäbe.
Die Situation erinnert ein wenig an https://www.bookzilla.de/shop/article/38462578/cory_doctorow_wie_man_einen_t... (Achtung, die FSFE bekommt Provision, falls ihr genau da kaufen würdet.)
Das Buch bekommt nur 4 von 5 Sternen bei mir, aber die Situation ist mit Haushaltsgeräten gut beschrieben.
Erinnert mich daran, warum ich bei der FSFE dabei bin. Um Leute aufzuklären und bessere Lösungen zu fördern.
