Wie Unternehmenskultur von Freier Software profitiert habe ich mir schon Anfang 2001 überlegt.
Von http://intevation.de/~bernhard/publications/index.de.html erreichbar, habe ich gerade meine Vortragsausarbeitung von 2001 zum gleichnamigen Linuxtag 2001 Vortrag ins Netz gestellt und einige Verweise erneuert.
Seitdem habe ich natürlich auch weiter gedacht, oder besser nachgesehen: * Ich denke schon länger: Es gibt nur eine "Bewegung" für Freie Software * Richard hat die Form mit vier Freiheiten nicht in den 80ern sondern Ende der 90er entwickelt. * die FSF wurde 1985 gegründet usw.
Auch sprachlich liegt da so Einige im Argen.. Naja, vielleicht trotzdem für einige interessant.

Welche Aussagen davon sind denn verbesserungsbedürftig? Zu "Software ist ein Kommunikationsproblem" stehe ich immer noch.
Ich find nur nicht EINEN Schnipsel freie software .
Schau genauer hin. Du könntest den Verweis auf Intevation (mein Unternehmen) verfolgen, oder den auf den ftp.server oder den zu UWM, Cadian Daily Climate CD Python module.
Es stimmt allerdings, ich komme wenig dazu Quelltext selbst zu schreiben, mein Anteil an der Entwicklung würde oft, wie beim Film eher Produzent oder Regisseur heissen.

es kommt einigen so vor, allerdings kommen viele von der Meinung auch wieder runter, wenn sie länger darüber nachdenken.
Einmal geht es nicht um "reine" Lehre, teilweise ist selbst ein Richard Stallmann recht kompromissfreudig und pragmatisch. Die Gnu GPLv2 erlaubt jede Menge Leute mit den Quelltext Dinge zu tun, welche er nicht kontrollieren kann und welche sicher auch nicht seiner politischen Überzeugung entsprechen. Diese Lizens ist für Software-Entwickler geschrieben und er selbst hat viel Software auch darunter ganz viele zur Vergügung gestellt. Auch die GNU LGPL stammt von ihm und er empfiehlt sogar manchmal die X11 Lizenz ganz ohne Schutz.
Zum anderen sind es eher zwei Strömungen innerhalb einer Bewegung (was ich auch erst nach Schreiben des Artikels erkannte). Das kann auch eine Stärke sein. Die Gruppen kooperieren aber im Bereich Software sehr stark miteinander. Auch hier bricht die Analogie.
Begriffe prägen das Denken. Mir liegt klares Denken am Herzen, also versuche ich eine klare Sprache zu sprechen und trete auch dafür ein. Dafür Eintreten heißt meine Argumente zu nennen für bessere Begriffe. Für mich ist das moderne, gelebte Demokratie und Wissenschaft, kein Vergleich mit irgendwelchen revoltionären Splittergruppen.

Nun, auch mir ist es immer wichtig, darauf hinzuweisen, dass die Ansichten, die hinter den Begriffen stehen, unterschiedlich sind. Aber das heißt noch lange nicht, dass man das zu einem "Streit" hochstilisieren kann!
Ich würde auch darauf bestehen, dass Äpfel keine Birnen sind. Dass heißt aber noch lange nicht, dass es Streit zwischen Äpfeln und Birnen gäbe. ;-)
P.S.: Ich habe den Text, auf den du dich beziehst jetzt zugegebenermaßen noch nicht gelesen.
