Man koennte sich aber ueberlegen, den Namen bei Twitter trotzdem zu registrieren und dort nur einen Hinweis auf Laconica hinterlassen.

ich nutze ein von einem Buddy eingerichtes " jabber gateway " [1] mit dem posts aus meinen jabber automatisch nach identica übertragen werden soweit ich weiss könnte man das dann auch auf twitter [2] "spiegeln" ?

Ich seh twitter eigentlich als ein Medium für die Verbreitung unserer Inhalte. Ich geb auch Zeitungen Interviews, welche unfreie Software auf ihrer Webseite verwenden. Und auf twitter könnten wir halt unsere Nachrichten rausschicken, auch wenn wir es schlecht finden, dass twitter unfreie Software benutzt.
Weiß nur nicht, ob wir das als fsfe Benutzer machen sollen. Oder einfach die Leute mit ganz normalen Benutzerkonten das machen. Was meint ihr? Sind die Dienste nicht so, dass sie eher von der "Persönlichkeit" der Nachricht leben?

Ich sehe das ähnlich. Wir wollen doch aufklären und da gibt es bei der Twitter-Nutzerschaft mehr zu tun als bei Identi.ca.
RSS-Feeds sind auch mit jedem proprietären Reader und Netzdienst lesbar. Und mehr ist microblogging ja nicht - eher weniger.
Es gibt eine Identi.ca bridge , also jeder post von twitter geht nach identi.ca oder umgekehrt.
Ich würde wegen der geannten Problematik nur identi.ca -> Twitter nutzen. Damit wird jedem Tweet "from Identica" angehängt und jeder weiß, wo die FSFE eigentlich microblogt.
Soweit ich weiß sind identi.ca streams per default CC-BY (3.0) lizensiert. Also könnte ihn jeder zu Twitter oder sonstwohin leiten und verwenden.

Sprich, keine Entitaet sollte die Kontrolle ueber den Dienst und die Zugriffsmoeglichkeiten auf ihn haben. Twitter kann zensieren, Werbung einblenden, Nutzer ausschliessen etc. Meiner Meinung nach, widerspricht das klar dem, wofuer die Freie Software Bewegung steht.
Dies faellt in den Bereich der Free Network Services, deren Implikationen von uns immer noch nicht klar erfasst und verstanden sind. Deswegen ist auch nicht vollkommen klar, das wir nun Twitter boykottieren sollten...

Eine ausführliche Diskussion ist sicher angebracht bevor mit dem microblogging via Twitter begonnen wird (wenn überhaupt). Aber es ist sicher gut, dass jetzt niemand anderes im Namen der FSFE twittern kann (und sie sich dann davon distanzieren muss). So besteht wenigstens kein Zeitdruck für eine Entscheidung.
Ich sehe auch die Problematik, dass eine twitternde FSFE nicht direkt dazu ermutigt, Twitter zu verlassen und zu freien Diensten zu wechseln. Andererseits ist mit "wegbleiben" auch niemand überzeugt.
Mit jedem weitergeleiteten "Dent" würde allerdings bei Twitter ein "tweet" erzeugt, der auf identi.ca verlinkt. Kostenlose Werbung für die Freie Plattform sozusagen.
In der Twitter-Bio könnte man noch reinpacken, dass man jeden ermutigt zu Freien Diensten zu wechseln.
Ich stimme mit Dir überein, dass kein einziger Tweet via Twitter erzeugt werden sollte, sondern nur über die "offene" API.

Unfreie Software dient i.d.R. den Interessieren des Herstellers.
Software kann die verschiedensten Aufgaben erledigen und ist ein ungeheuer nuetzliches Werkzeug. Twitter ist eins dieser Werkzeuge und es zeigt sich, dass auch Twitter fuer die Gesellschaft von grossem oder wachsendem Nutzen ist.
Deswegen bin ich der Meinung, dass wir bei Twitter die gleiche Freiheit haben sollten, wie bei Software, die auf unseren Computern laeuft. Da Netzwerkdienste aber schon Unterschiede aufweisen, muessen einige alte Konzepte hier ueberdacht werden.

Nein, das ist nicht meine Position. Ich moechte uns auch kein Veroeffentlichungsverbot auferlegen, sondern bin nur der Meinung, dass wir - wenn wir Twitter direkt nutzen - es indirekt gutheissen und auch Werbung dafuer machen wuerde. Dies wuerde ich ablehnen.
Der Kompromiss primaer auf identi.ca zu veroeffentlichen finde ich gut. Auch toll waere es sicher, wenn die FSFE - falls sie Microblogging wirklich aktiv nutzen moechte - einen eigenen laconi.ca Dienst fuer ihre Fellows installiert.
In der Twitter-Bio könnte man noch reinpacken, dass man jeden ermutigt zu Freien Diensten zu wechseln.

Aber ich fürchte wir verzetteln uns hier in Details.

Wie gesagt, wenn wir vollständig auf Twitter verzichtet hätten, hätte irgendjemand anderes den fsfe Account erstellen können, den Identi.ca stream auf diesen account umleiten, und bei Bedarf eigenen Blödsinn dazwischen mischen können.

Das glaube ich auch. Da Du mit der Idee der Weiterleitung von identi.ca zu Twitter, einverstanden bist, sind wir uns in der Sache wohl völlig einig.

Das denke ich auch nicht. Allerdings ist FSFEurope kein ähnlicher sondern genau der Name unter dem die FSFE die letzten Jahre erreichbar war.

Die FSFE betreibt hier aber kein geschlossenes zentrales System, dass die gleiche mediale Wichtigkeit wie Twitter besitzt. Deswegen denke ich, dass beide Faelle nicht wirklich vergleichbar sind.
Ich möchte sie auch gar nicht an ihrer medialen Wichtigkeit messen, sondern an den Freiheiten, die sie ihren Nutzern gewähren.
Sehr gut. Vielleicht sollten wir die Fellowship Services mal daraufhin untersuchen, ob sie uns alle essentiellen Freiheiten gewaehren.
Wenn wir nur über die "tweets" oder "dents" reden, dann sind die RSS-Feeds ebenso dezentral wie jedes Blog im Netz.
Mit dezentral meine ich, dass der ganze Service dezentral organisiert ist, ich also meine eigene Instanz unter meiner Kontrolle betreiben kann.
Meiner Meinung nach sollten diese Informationen auch beim jeweiligen Dienstbetreiber bleiben, solange der Nutzer nicht sein Einverständnis gegeben hat, diese zu veröffentlichen.
Daten die allen Nutzern zur Verfuegung stehen, sollten unter einer freien Lizenz stehen. Private Daten, koennen von mir aus beim Dienstbetreiber verbleiben, solange ich a) alle Rechte daran habe, ich b) selbst der Dienstbetreiber sein kann und ich c) jederzeit mit meinen Daten zu einem anderen Dienstbetreiber umziehen kann.

Das hängt davon ab, was man unter "wirklich einfach" versteht. :)
Ein RSS-Feed auf Twitter [1] sollte aber mit ein wenig Skript-Kenntnissen auf Laconi.ca-Format umzubiegen sein. Wenn das noch keiner gemacht hat, ist es sicher nur eine Frage der Zeit bis es jemand tut. Bei libre.fm hat es auch nicht lange gedauert, bis Wechselwillige von last.fm ihre Daten importieren konnten [2].
Mehr als die max 140 Zeichen und den Zeitstempel benötigt man ja nicht, oder?

Seh ich auch so. Aber ob ich Nachrichten an meine Jabber Kontakte schicke, oder eben noch kurz in Jabber nach Identi.ca etc. jage ist für mich kein Mehraufwand... es lesen aber mehr Leute die Nachricht. Von daher dachte ich, dass ich es mal versuche.
