Weiß nicht, was man davon halten soll. Das Fazit des Artikels ist auf jeden Fall richtig. Microsoft kann das Teil nicht zumachen, weil es sonst eine Fehlgeburt wird. Leider fällt mit einem funktonierenden App-Store ein einfach zu greifendes Hauptargument gegenüber Otto-Normal-Dau für $Linuxdistribution weg.
Aber Ursache ist weniger Einsicht in die Sinnhaftigkeit von freier Software, als reine Kalkulation, kommt ja aber auch aus dem Artikel raus. Ansonsten wenig Spannendes ;)

Das ist einer der Gründe warum ich Freie Software nie über die technischen Vorteile anpreise, sondern über die gesellschaftliche, politische und wirtschaftliche Gründe!

Jau. Manchmal ist es aber ein von anderen guten Gründen bei einer Antwort auf die Frage: "Ja und? Was nutzt mir das?"
