Als jemand, der die FSFE Liste primär deshalb abonniert hat, um über Themen verwandt mit freier Software informiert zu bleiben, bin ich wenig an den Themen interessiert, die diese Liste momentan dominieren. Daher frage ich mich, ob man für Lobbyismus und co. nicht eine Offtopic-Liste einrichten kann :)

Das verstehe ich natürlich, aber ganz Off-Topic finde ich die Themen auch nicht. Ist eventuell die Digest-Option in Mailman etwas für dich, so dass du etwas weniger Mails bekommst?
Alternativ dazu könnte man überlegen, Themen in Mailman anzulegen. Das würde aber erfordern, dass sich die Nutzer mehrheitlich daran halten, ansonsten läuft man Gefahr zu viele Mails zu bekommen oder etwas zu verpassen. Was meinen die anderen hier?

Hallo,
ich bin gegen das Anlegen von Themen/Topics. Meine Erfahrung auf anderen Listen der FSFE zeigt mir, dass sich an diese Themen nur bedingt gehalten wird. Außerdem gibt es oftmals Nebenhandlungen, die dann wieder bei manchen nicht ankommen.
In vielen Mailprogrammen kann ich mir E-Mails, die als Antwort geschickt werden auch mit wenigen Klicks ausblenden, wenn ich kein Interesse an der Diskussion habe. Ich glaube das ist hilfreicher als alle Leute dazu zu bekommen entsprechende Themen in die Betreffzeile mit aufzunehmen.

Ich lese diese Liste, weil ich genau erwarte solche Themen hier vorzufinden. Wenn ich ein Problem mit konkreter Software habe, frage ich in der entsprechenden Usergroup oder im Hackerspace. Die politischen Themen sind meiner Meinung nach hier ontopic, genau das ist doch Sinn und Zweck der FSFE, oder hab ich das falsch verstanden?
