Diese Mail habe ich dann BCc an alle geschickt, die ebenfalls F-Droid nutzen, sodass diese Leute meine Mail etwas personalisiert ebenfalls verschickt haben. In einigen Fällen ergab sich so ein hinreichender Bedarf für die Bereitstellung unter F-Droid, bspw.: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.hu_berlin.eduroam/ (wobei ich hier das Prozedere zur F-Droid-Integration vornehmen musste, was aber auch mal ganz spannend war).

Aber es funktioniert seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr, d.h. es wird geraten einen richtigen Google Account zu nutzen, und bringt es wohl nichts mehr.

Richtig, das ist das große Problem, das auch ich sehe.
Wesentliche Bestandteile der Logik (IDs, Bluetooth-Scanning, Risikoberechnung) sind in der proprietären "Exposure Notification API", der berühmten Schnittstelle, an der Google und Apple gearbeitet haben:

Diese wird in die Google Play Services eingebettet, damit kein Update des Betriebssystems notwendig wird, sondern nur ein Update der Play Services. Die Schnittstelle wie natürlich auch die gesamten Play Services sind proprietär.
Sprich: Menschen, die keine Google-Dienste verwenden, können mit der Freie-Software-App CoronaWarn leider nichts anfangen. Auch das Testen der Software scheint wohl nicht ohne weiteres möglich zu sein, weil man auf einer Whitelist stehen muss, damit man Zugriff auf die API hat.
Hier sind unsere Forderungen vom April [^1] daher nur teilweise erfüllt, denn die App selbst ist zwar Freie Software, der Grundbau aber nicht. Immerhin ist die Nutzung zumindest in Deutschland immer noch freiwillig.
Es müssen also alle für sich entscheiden, ob sie die proprietären Play Services installieren möchten, um die Tracing App zu nutzen, die ja vor allem gesamtgesellschaftlich Wirkung entfalten kann.

Ich freue mich sehr darüber, dass es nun komplett freie Client-Implementationen gibt und ich nicht notwendigerweise ein Zweitgerät für die Warn-App mit mir rumschleppen muss (wenn da nicht Bluetooth wäre...).
Allerdings halte ich andere Maßnahmen zur Kontaktverfolgung für vielversprechender als die Bluetooth-Tracing-App, z.B. das von Drosten vorgeschlagene offline geführte persönliche Kontakt-/Cluster-Tagebuch (s. [0], [1]).

Das ging bei mir problemlos mit zwei Geräten (bullhead und a5y17lte), und war auch nötig, weil die in den Images enthaltenen Versionen mit der CWA noch Fehler ausspuckten. Jetzt funktioniert es aber tadellos.
Unterstützt Dein OS signature spoofing? Anscheinend wird, wenn das nicht aktiviert ist, GmsCore nicht im Repo angezeigt. Allerdings sollten die Images von lineage.microg.org das eigentlich standardmäßig aktiviert haben...

leider wird hier nicht thematisiert, wie die Corona App gegen Mißbrauch abgesichert ist. In den USA wird ja schon davon berichtet, daß eine vergleichbare App zur Ermittlung und Verfolgung von Demonstrationsteilnehmern eingesetzt wird. Der Hauptzweck der App ist nicht etwa die Verhinderung der Corona Ansteckung, sie ist vielmehr eines der Instrumente zur Erzeugung von Angst. Sie hat damit bei F-Droid nichts zu suchen.

Hallo, was würdest du sagen, wenn ich behaupten würde: WhatsApp verletzt das Recht auf informelle Selbstbestimmung, deswegen sollte XMPP verboten werden!
Du schließt von einer App auf die andere ohne scheinbar die Unterschiede zu kennen...

Nein sind sie definitiv nicht.
Deswegen ja mein Gleichnis...
Jeder der sich für die App interessiert hat sollte die Diskussion um dezentral oder Zentraler Ansatz mitbekommen haben. Diese hat meiner Ansicht nach schon eine maßgeblichen Einfluss auf das Ganze.
Einfach mal ein Beispiel:
Die Tracing-Apps aus China, Indien oder Südkorea kommen allein schon aus Datenschutzgründen nicht infrage. Sie erfassen persönliche Daten und überwachen den Aufenthaltsort. Nutzer der Apps sind für die Behörden und das Umfeld identifizierbar. Aus datenschutzrechtlicher Sicht wäre am ehesten die in Österreich benutzte "Stopp Corona"-App vermittelbar. Doch auch die hat den Schwachpunkt, den weltweit alle Apps hatten, bis Apple und Google Ende Mai ihre Smartphone- Schnittstellen verfügbar gemacht hatten: Auf iPhones muss die App im Vordergrund laufen, um automatisiert über Bluetooth den Abstand zu anderen Handys zu messen.
Das gilt auch für die französische App, die wegen ihres zentralen Ansatzes aller Voraussicht nach nicht mit der deutschen, dezentralen App kompatibel ist, obwohl viele Kriterien gleich sind.
Hinzu kommt, dass die Apps in anderen Ländern viele Benutzer von der Bedienerfreundlichkeit nicht überzeugt haben, wie die oft nur durchschnittlichen Bewertungen in den Stores von Google und Apple zeigen.

Die deutsche App:
Die App wertet keine Geo-Daten aus und übermittelt keine Ortsinformationen. Es erfolge auch kein Versand und keine Speicherung von personenbezogenen Daten, versichern die Entwickler. Die anonymisierten Daten der Kontakte werden nicht zentral gespeichert, sondern dezentral auf dem jeweiligen Smartphone. Der Abgleich, ob man einer infizierten Person begegnet ist, geschieht lokal auf dem Mobiltelefon. "Es verlassen keine Daten zum Abgleich das Handy", so die Entwickler. Nur die anonymisierte Liste wird zentral gespeichert und von den Smartphones regelmäßig abgerufen, um mögliche problematische Begegnungen zu identifizieren.

In meinen Worten, hoffe das ich es richtig verstehe: Auf den Server wird nur die anoynmisierte Liste von Nummern. Diese holt sich das Smartphoneund schaut: Hatte ich über einen Zeitraum X (glaube 15 Minuten) Kontakt mit einem dieser Codes (Die Ändern sich bei jeder Person ständig!) Das Telefon selbst hat diese Daten gespeichert Wenn ja sagt mir die App bescheid.
Meine erzeugten Codes selber kann ich auf diesem Server nur hochladen, wenn ich infiziert bin und das muss man wohl über einen QR-Code "nachweisen"
Auf Deutsch: Du kannst selbstständig noch nichtmal Daten auf dem Server hochladen.

Die ganze Diskussion bestätigt, daß die Panik-Erzeugung auch hier erfolgreich war.
