ich habe es schon immer gesagt: CC-BY-NC und Co sind nicht wirklich verwendbar, da der Begriff der "kommerziellen Nutzung" je nach Interpretation praktisch alles umfasst, was über rein private Nutzung hinausgeht:

Ich bin dafür, dass die FSFE sich dafür einsetzt, die NC-Lizenzen komplett aus dem Lizenzportfolio der Creative Commons zu entfernen, da diese eben dem Grundgedanken des gemeinsam nutzbaren Kulturgutes zuwiederlaufen.
Wie können wir hier Einfluss nehmen?

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, spielst du auf die FDL an. Soweit ich das verstanden habe, kann diese auch frei sein. Nämlich dann, wenn der Autor kein Gebrauch von dem "Feature" macht, einzelne Passagen als unveränderlich zu deklarieren.
Würde es in diesem Fall nicht ausreichen, die Autoren der FDL-lizensierten Werke zu bitten, von dieser Klausel keinen Gebrauch zu machen? Oder werden diese Werke auch dann nicht von Debian als frei anerkannt?

Debian nimmt Werke nach "main" auf, wenn der Autor von der in Rede stehenden Klausel keinen Gebrauch macht.
Aber nicht alle Autoren legen sich eine entsprechende Zurückhaltung auf. Ein prominentes Beispiel ist:

Das sehe ich ganz genauso!
Dieses Problem haben wir hier schon vor 4 Jahren diskutiert. Mein damaliger Versuch, den Diskussionsstand zusammenzufassen:

Es gab - zumindest damals - keine breite Unterstützung für die Idee, CC-Lizenzen in "frei" und "unfrei" zu unterteilen und sich öffentlich gegen die NC-Varianten (nicht-kommerziell) oder die ND-Varianten (nicht-veränderlich) auszusprechen.
Aus meiner Zusammenfassung:

Ich stimme dir hier absolut zu! Bei GNUfunzt! haben wir uns deshalb beispielsweise auch dafür entschieden, die Sendung unter CC-BY-SA zu stellen.

Hier weiß ich nicht ob das klug ist. Die FSFE setzt sich klassischerweise ja nicht im Bereich von Freien Kulturwerken (jenseits von Software natürlich) ein. Erfahrungsgemäß ist die Formel "Druck = Kraft / Fläche" sehr wohl auch auf politischen Aktionismus anwendbar ist. Ich würde es für einen strategischen Fehler halten, das Erfolgspotential der FSFE durch eine Ausweitung des Aktivitätenspektrums zu verwässern. Wir würden unter anderem Gefahr laufen ein offenes Ohr bei verschiedensten Leuten zu verlieren. Da halte ich es für besser mit anderen Vereinen zusammenzuarbeiten, die sich unter einer anderen Flagge für ein Umdenken im Bereich von CC-Lizenzen einsetzen.
Wie können wir hier Einfluss nehmen?
Auf jeden Fall hat mich deine Mail daran erinnert, mich nochmal ernsthaft dafür einzusetzen, dass das nächste Berliner Kinokabaret "KinoBerlino" (ein Festival auf dem Kurzfilme gedreht werden) seine Standard-Lizenz ändert - praktisch, dass ich die Tech-Orga dabei mache und mir ohnehin den Ruf der Lizenznervensäge verdient habe ;-)

Langfristig gesehen wäre es natürlich am besten, direkt bei Creative Commons anzusetzen, und sie zu bitten, die NC-Lizenzen entweder abzuschaffen oder als "strongly discouraged -- consider using CC-BY-SA instead" zu markieren. Das würde aber auch nur bei "Neulingen" helfen. Diejenigen, die regelmäßig unter einer NC-Lizenz produzieren, müsste man irgendwie anders erreichen.
