Ich habe den Bericht gerade gelesen. Das ist recht unverständlich, auf der einen Seite mahnen Vetreter der Bundesregierung keine proprietäre Software aus den USA einzusetzen (weil die Angst vor Spionage u. ä. recht gross zu sein scheint), und dann passiert sowas.

Das Fakt an sich ist vermutlich darauf zurückzuführen, daß Microsoft die Regierung durch ihre Lizenzpolitik dazu gezwungen hat. Alle Rechner innerhalb eines Wochenendes umzustellen und alle Mitarbeiter geschult zu haben ist praktisch wohl ebensowenig durchführbar wie die Abschaltung aller Kernkraftwerke von heute auf morgen.
Was mich jedoch stört, ist die Tatsache, daß die Regierung sich in keiner Weise von dieser Handlungsweise distanziert oder sie zumindest relativiert.
Natürlich muß die Regierung aufpassen, nicht zu abhängig von einem Unternehmen zu erscheinen (auch wenn sie es ist) und hat es vermutlich aus diesem Grund nicht öffentlich kommentiert (jedenfalls habe ich keine Reaktion gesehen).
Doch bei der derzeitigen Lage wird es effektiv zu einer millionen- schweren Subvention für Microsoft und einer Stärkung ihres Monopols, denn Firmen und Bürger sehen u.U. nur, daß die Regierung es ja auch tut, unsere Warnungen also nicht so ernst genommen werden müssen.
Wir sollten auf jeden Fall eine Überreaktion vermeiden, doch bietet diese Geschichte Potential, auf diese ungesunde Abhängigkeit der Regierung von einem einzelnen Unternehmen hinzuweisen. Warum das nicht im Interesse Deutschlands sein kann, ist zudem leicht nachzuvollziehen.

Falsch.
Richtig ist: im Interesse eines jeden Landes
Wir sollten uns nicht entbloeden, das ganze aus unserer Sicht als 'wir Deutschen' zu sehen und zu Urteilen was gut ist fuer unser Land und was nicht.
Wir muessen darauf achten, global zu denken und darauf hinzuweisen, dass es im Interesse kaum eines Landes/Buergers sein kann, von so einem Unternehmen abhaengig zu sein.

Damit würdest Du sagen, Deutschland sei kein Land (das ist das mit den Pudeln und Hunden).
Wie dem auch sei, Du hast Recht, daß solche Abhängigkeiten für alle Länder schädlich sind und wir auch überall darauf hinweisen sollten.
In diesem Fall war es jedoch ein deutsches Ministerium, von dem gesprochen wurde, und daher macht es durchaus Sinn, den deutschen Politikern und Wählern klarzumachen, daß dies für sie ganz persönlich eine schlechte Idee ist und nicht nur irgendwie im Allgemeinen.
Erfahrungsgemäß ist der direkte Bezug sehr hilfreich, um Menschen zu überzeugen.

Ja das weiss ich auch, aber ueberlege mal:
Nach der Logik dass es 'schlecht fuer Deutschland' sei, wenn die Organe unseres Staates abhaengig von einer amerikanischen Firma werden, dann muesste es aber gleichermassen 'gut fuer Amerika' sein, wenn Deutschland sich abhaengig von einer amerikanischen Firma macht (man denke nur an Hintertuerchen der NSA), und nach der dumpfen Logik 'was gut fuer unser Land ist' muesste dann die amerikanische FSF die Abhaengigkeit Deutschlands von Microsoft begruessen ;-)))
Also:
'gut fuer Land A' != 'gut fuer Land B' != 'gut fuer die Buerger von Land A oder B'
Weiteres Beispiel: dass die USA aus dem Kyoto-Vertrag ausgestiegen sind, ist aus Sicht des Praesidenten 'gut fuer die USA', ebenso die Weigerung Landminen abzuschaffen, ganz zu schweigen von Genforschung und Patentierung etc.
Das alles ist saugut fuer die USA, aber mies fuer den Rest :-((

Das ist nicht richtig.
Ich sprach lediglich davon, daß es schlecht für Deutschland ist, wenn die Regierung sich in großer Abhängigkeit von einem Unternehmen befindet. Daß dieses Unternehmen amerikanisch ist, ist nur ein Zufall, es wäre auch dann schlecht für Deutschland, wenn es ein deutsches Unternehmen wäre.
Damit die Demokratie funktioniert, darf die Politik niemals zu stark von den Interessen Einzelner abhängig werden. Wer (oder woher) dieser Einzelne ist, ist dabei egal.

Diese Beispiele haben keinen Bezug zu der vorher behandelten Frage, sie sind vielmehr die "Allmende-Problematik", wo der Einzelne sich kurzfristige Vorteile auf Kosten der Gemeinschaft verschaffen kann.
Langfristig ist ein solches Verhalten allerdings auch gegen die Interessen des Einzelnen - es zeugt also nur von Kurzsichtigkeit.
