On naming, there's no FSF Ireland, but there's Irish Free Software Organisation (IFSO), and there's an Irish guy in FSFE. He lives in Brussels, but he comes home fairly regularly. (that's me)
Also I have recently wiped Windows from my computer and installed Ubuntu Linux and not being a tech head I have been running into a few problems. Is anyone on this list familiar with debian\ubuntu and based in Galway that might be able to meet up and give me a few tutorials ?
