Du står inför några val som påverkar priset.
1) Upplösning. Om du väljer 1280x1024 blir priset väsentligen lägre än om du väljer 1440x... Om du å andra sidan väljer lägre upplösning tycker jag att man förlorar lite i användbarhet. Mitt förslag, välj på 1280x1024.
2) CPU + Tyst Behöver du ha lång batteritid välj en CPU som går att "klocka ner". En sådan dator blir dessutom (oftast) tyst då fläkten inte behöver stå på hela tiden :)
Jag tycker att frekvensen på CPUn på en bärbar inte skall överskattas. Du har ändå så dålig access-tid på HDn som gör att stora kompileringar ändå tar lång tid. Oavsett CPU-frekvensen.
Kolla också på följande punkter (som inte påverkar priset så mycket).
3) Mus Min erfarenhet är att den inbyggda musen brukar gå sönder tidigt. Kolla så att musen ser robust ut. Om musen går sönder finns det en person som har gjort ett program som kan emulera en mus mha tangenter[1] och vice versa. För övrigt kan programmet mycket mer än så. Min falska blygsamhet förbjuder mig att säga vem som har skrivit programmet ;)
4) Inbyggt W-LAN Vilken standard stöds. Bara 'b' eller 'b' och 'g'. Finns det drivare för kortet?
5) Serie-port Det kanske bara är jag som vill ha sådana. Idag finns det inte serieport på alla bärbara.
6) Antal PC-CARD-platser Behöver du fler än en. Jag vill ha två.
7) USB Se till du har många "USB-platser".
