Varför vill man inte kontrollera sin sida? Vare sig man skriver en bok, ett program eller en hemsida borde det tyckas naturligt att se över vad man har skrivit. Det kan ju vara så att man helt enkelt har stavat fel. Precis som att detta mail kan innehålla en hel del fel.
Det händer ju att man stöter på sidor med fel som bortglömda sluttaggar, felnästlade taggar, fel/ingen dokumenttyp etc. Fel som lätt skulle kunna upptäckas med exempelvis w3c validatorn.
Vad kan det finnas för orsaker till att dessa fel uppträder? Det verkar trots allt inte alltför ovanligt. Någon som utvecklar sidor kanske vet svaret?
För kort utvecklingstid, fel på verktygen, användning av färdigskrivna stycken som kan innehålla fel, utvecklat för en viss webbläsare/platform, webbläsarna är bra på att generera sidor även med fel?
Att följa standarder för html/xhtml torde visserligen bara vara en del av arbetet för att göra en sida mer tillgänglig. En sida skall ju självklart även kunna vara tillgänglig för de som har problem med syn, hörsel, rörelsehinder mm. Detta borde synnerligen gälla en myndighet. Även om tillgänglighet bäst borde utprovas med verkliga personer lägger jag med en länk till Bobby.
Provade dock socialstyrelsen under lynx och där verkade den se bra ut till skillnad mot smittskyddsinstitutet, denna sida var hemsk under lynx.
