Hallo zusammen,

Hello,
We have noticed that the mailing list leipzig@lists.fsfe.org has been quite inactive since quite a while. This is undesirable because people interested in Free Software who try to get in touch with the community by signing up on a list will find a silent room.
You are the listed owner/moderator of this mailing list. Let's clarify how to proceed with this situation. There are multiple options. Please pick one of them *before 1 August 2019* and reply to this email:
You could try to start a few new discussions. Often, mailing list members are rather shy, especially new ones, and wait for topics to participate in. Is there something regarding Free Software going on in your country or the topic of the mailing list? Is there something interesting that is relevant for the members? Also check out the FSFE's news [^1] and events [^2], or the latest campaigns and activities to find matching topics.
If you don't have time to moderate and engage on the list any more, please try to find a successor. For example, you could ask other people on the mailing list. Please try to find a solution as soon as possible and share it with me so we can make the necessary changes.
You think the mailing list has become too inactive or obsolete to ever start it again? There is the option of creating a category on https://community.fsfe.org, our relatively new Discourse platform. There, building a community is easier because people don't have to join a mailing list but can just find your discussions at the first glance. Let me know if you prefer that, and I can help you set things up.
Nothing from the above makes sense to you? Well, we can also just delete the mailing list and optionally keep its archives. If you prefer this option, please do so carefully, announce it early, and also discuss it with other members of the mailing list. Also in this case, please get back to me.
Please note that if you do not reply before *1 August 2019*, we will have to delete the mailing list after a short notice to keep our systems in a maintained and clean state. This would be the saddest option, and I hope we can find a better solution together :)
Thanks for your contribution to Free Software and the FSFE community!
Best, Max
