Just a quick shout out about two events the Open Rights Group are putting on
that may be of interest.
Firstly, if you have a child in education or know someone who does,
DefendDigitalMe are giving a talk on the National Pupil Database - which may
end up selling the data of every child over 6 years old !

Secondly, the council are hosting a day of events under the banner "Data
Smart" - there are events on Wikidata as well as a full blown CryptoParty and
we'll even feed you lunch !
That's on Friday 17th March and the days starts at 10am in the Central
Libraries' Performance Space. The day is free, but you should get a ticket
