Hi, on Monday, we were discussing the group, what we do, why, where we meet etc.
There were a few semi-concrete plans made, and some discussion about general practice.
First of all, we discussed "showcasing" what we do more, as a group, as friends within a group and as individuals. We have this wiki here https://wiki.fsfe.org/groups/Manchester which i propose we overhaul and use as a starting point.
Second, we discussed running more activities on weekends, so they are less constrained to two hours.
Anna, Mark and David are all keen on running an "Amble Jam" - where we go on a walk, possibly one from a council website, map it on open street map, take photos of features and do lots of other out door techie activities. We discussed the 6th of April for out first one.
Is anyone interested getting involved?
We also discussed making art works, videos, apps, blogs - really show our colour and have some fun. After all, without Manchester FSFE... well, I know I would feel very isolated!
Shall we have a wiki-editing-sprint? Get some better info on there? We could do it remotely, via jabber etc?
