Hi Anna,
I was just wondering if you had confirmation on the alternative meet up dates yet?
The availability we have is:
Every third Friday - 16/5 19/6 18/7 Every last Monday - 26/5 (though this is a Bank Holiday) 30/6 28/7
Please do let me know if either of these days are suitable.
Many thanks, Jo

Update on the Bitcoin meetup’s Brownian motion:
The May meetup is currently still the 22nd (speaker permitting). June we’ve now moved to avoid clashing with Bitcoin Edinburgh (spooky action at a distance). We chose the 30th as Max is on holiday for the July date, so we figured we might as well shove the date as far away from our delayed May date as possible and cancel July. August will finally be back to the first Monday. So you guys have a bit of slack if you want to find a new regular slot as there’s very little empirical evidence we have one ourselves :)
And on the subject of CryptoParty, I had a surreal dream last night. There was a CryptoParty being held on a tropical island, and I was one of the presenters. It was being held from a large stage, with an audience I’d guesstimate at a thousand or more. One of the demonstrations was quite elaborate, ever more so than the locked notebook example… it involved hundreds of simulated landmines I had to walk across to get to the stage. (I had to descend through a wooden cabin village to get to the entrance to the minefield.) I gave a talk on stage, but I don’t remember the details, other than floundering for words at the end. Anna was there at some point, but I can’t remember now at which point or what she did. I do know, though, that I got to the island by diving off a pirate ship and swimming with a school of (largely) friendly manta rays.
Perhaps the most disturbing thing is that while I’ve had a few glasses of wine tonight, that has actually only tempered my memories of the dream. The real thing was even *more* trippy. It was good though. Imagine a CryptoParty on Monkey Island, presented by National Geographic and you’re not too far off.
You guys have a lot to live up to.
Ash

Hi Anna,
Just a quick one, this Monday is bank holiday- did you still
want to
have the FSFE meeting?
I know you're planning on moving permanently but if you could
let us
know about Monday whilst you decide on a new date, that'd be
great!
Thanks, Jo

Hi Anna,
Apologies for the delay.
I've had a look at the diary and come up with a couple of
options.
At the moment we have space:
Every third Friday - 16/5 19/6 18/7 Every last Monday - 26/5 (though this is a Bank Holiday)
30/6 28/7
Let me know if either of these meet up dates work for you.
If they
don't I'll have a rethink and possibly a shuffle!
Thanks, Jo

Hi Anna, Sorry to hear that your meet up date isn't working for

Are you okay to leave this with me? We're quite full
at the
moment so I need to have a sit down and look at the
calendar
to work out when would work. I'll get back to you shortly, hopefully with some options! Thanks, Jo On 22 April 2014 12:01, Anna Morris

either way. Hi, we really need to not be on the same day as

Its making things kinda difficult because we have a big
overlap and
work together a lot. Are there any other evenings free? We only need a small space really A x -- Manchester Digital Laboratory | 36-40 Edge Street,
