stamattina eravamo presenti io e il Prof. Trentini all'evento
organizzato da Regione Lombardia su E015, hanno presentato alcuni
esempi di casi d'uso fra cui enti regionali (Comune Milano, Provincia
di Monza e Brianza etc. ) o aziende (Autostrade, Epson, etc) che
partecipano a questo consorzio e mettono a disposizione (fra di loro)
delle API e si crea una ecosistema di servizi.
Tutto molto bello, ma ho sollevato l'opportunità di pubblicare almeno
il formato di queste API in modo da avere uno standard di riferimento.
Quello che si voleva fare è chiedere l'adesione ad E015 e partecipare
attivamente pubblicando sia le API che il codice sorgente di
un'applicazione di pubblica utilità.
Solo così questo sistema può essere realmente scalabile, era presente
un rappresentante per Agenda Digitale che auspicava di replicare il
sistema sul territorio italiano, è fondamentale a mio avviso rendere
trasparente dati, formato API, e dal nostro modesto punto di vista
anche il software.
Vi linko il malloppo burocratico per la richiesta di adesione [1]. Mi
hanno detto che fanno degli incontri tecnici introduttivi con coloro i
quali vogliano partecipare all'ecosistema, in particolare mi hanno
lasciato un contatto dell'ente che si occupa di questo [2].

per OpenData :)

in merito alla discussione nel precedente meeting, sarebbe bello se
riuscissimo ad organizzare un evento informativo sul tema del DRM [1], su
come lo vediamo noi [2], ma soprattutto sul perché dovrebbe interessare gli
essere umani ai quali ci rivolgiamo.
La giornata internazionale, organizzata da DefectiveByDesign.org->FSF [3]
dovrebbe essere sempre nei primi di maggio (3 Maggio probabilmente).
Vorrei porre alla vostra attenzione, e a quella dei nostri possibili
interlocutori, la questione del DRM in HTML5 "trattato" da W3C in persona.

Si tratta, in soldoni, dell'implementazione di API """"standard"""" per
l'erogazione di contenuti video/multimediali ^^^^^protetti^^^^^ da DRM,
così da eliminare flash e silverlight di mezzo (molto bene) e di infestare
i nostri amati browser super standard-compliant da componenti il cui
contenuto è inaccessibile e soggetto a DMCA (molto male). [5]
EFF, che non condivide ma comprende le motivazioni che spingono W3C ad
accettare una cosa simile, ha proposto un compromesso storico secondo il
quale W3C accetta questo...coso (non mi viene proprio standard) ma viene
garantita agli esperti di sicurezza, anche dello stesso consorzio, di poter
estendere le loro ricerche sulle possibili vulnerabilità nei browser anche
a questa parte e soprattutto di poterne pubblicare tempestivamente notizia
e report dettagliati, in caso di riscontri dannosi, senza subire ritorsioni
legali da DMCA [6]
Questo è un altro buon esempio di tentativo da parte delle community e
delle associazioni di settore di venir incontro ad esigenze (sbagliate) di
chi inventa metodi come il DRM, non limitandosi dunque ad un semplice no.
Watermarking e legalese contro il DRM, vi piace il titolo? :)

Salve,
Molti di voi avranno notato che Gitlab è giù da ieri pomeriggio.
Pare che l'admin abbia dato rm -rf /var/lib/postgresql sul server sbagliato,
e abbiano non pochi problemi a recuperare i backup, che tra l'altro
sono parziali.
Forse non è stata la scelta migliore, tra l'altro gira su Azure..
