Hello Maƫlle,

= the country team coordinators =
By the end of August,The FSFE is about to restart a campaign called "PDFreaders.org" to sensibilize the public to the fact that government websites are advertising for proprietary software and to let people know about the alternatives to these PDFreaders.
We should change the first sentence. PDFreaders was already started a long time ago.
We now start a campaign to build awareness that government websites do advertisement for non-free pdf readers.
The general idea is to organize a _two-waves-event_: the first part consisting in a contest, where Fellows, Fellowship groups country-team, and any volunteer we could enroll, would track governmental website where when clicking on a PDF, you get an advertising for downloading Adobe to read it. Then they would send us the URL of these websites.
Adobe should be removed. We should always write non-free software pdf reader, as there might also be advertisement for Foxit and others.
The participants can do the research alone or as a group, and the FSFE would reward the most active ones with a price.
We would collect the URL of these websites and then contact the authorities concerned and parallel to this, we would have a petition signed.
This is a bit misleading: Bug reporters / the people who participate add the URLs to the website. We (=FSFE / PDFreaders team) do not collect them.
= the fellows =
*It's time for you to act* !
I would use the same start as for country teams.
You'll find on the FSFE website [1] some screenshots to highlight want we want fo be removed from the institutional website, in order to reach advertising-free institutional websites.. From the 13th of September to the 17th October we'll proceed to a *bug hunt*.
What we expect from you is to search for such advertising on the governmental websites and to notify them to us thanks to the formular [1]. You can participate to the hunt as an individual participant or as a member of a group. In the case of a group, please elect a group coordinator and register your group in sending a mail to pdfreaders@lists.fsfe.org
Start with "We would like to encourage you to search for...". "we expect from you" is a bit strong for volunteers.
The last sentence:
In the case of a group, please register your group in sending a mail to pdfreaders@lists.fsfe.org.
They do not have to elect a group coordinator. The one who register it, is our contact. Else it might be too complicated.
Beside that it looks good.
= the group coordinators =
You have been registered as group coordinator for the group <name of the group> in the PDFreaders campaign.
If you didn't want to be registered as such, please send a mail at [FIX ME] to be removed of the list of the group coordinators.
First of all, thank you very much for participating to this campaign. We wish you luck for the contest !
For the time of the campaign, you will be the intermediary of the FSFE with your group members. We will send you all the practical information you will need to take part to it.
To ease up your work, we advise you to create a mailing list of the members of your group.
We should add a pointer to how to use the quickml mailing lists. Here the howto: http://0xcc.net/quickml/ml-usage.en.html our quickml stuff runs on q.fsfe.org so you can send an e-mail to newgroup@q.fsfe.org and CC people to create a mailing list.
Here find also a quick reminder of the schedule of the campaign :
- from the 13th September to the 17th October, the bug hunt takes place.
Make sure to motivate your team members to have the best chacunes !
- at the end of October, we'll reveal who the winners of the team search
and the individual search are.
- from November 1st to December 1st, the FSFE will send letters to the
institutions that were listed during the bug hunt. We also put online a _petition_, please help us to spread the word about it and get a maximum of signatures !
Shall you have any question, please don't hesitate to send us a mail !
Any other comments?
Regards, Matthias
