= FSFE ruft zu Nominierungen für den Document Freedom Award auf =

Am 28. März 2012 wird die Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) [1]
bereits zum vierten Mal den *Document Freedom Award* verleihen. Mit
diesem Preis zeichnet das deutsche Team der FSFE Institutionen oder
Unternehmen aus, die einen besonderen Beitrag zur Verbeitung von Offenen
Standards leisten. Der Document Freedom Award wird alljährlich im Rahmen
des Document Freedom Days verliehen, dem internationalen Tag für die
Bedeutung Offener Standards.
Bisherige Preisträger des Open Standard Award sind 2008 das Auswärtige
Amt [2] für seine damalige Umstellung und Verwendung des Open Document
Format (ODF), 2010 das Deutschlandradio für das Anbieten von Ogg-
Vorbis-Streams [3] und 2011 der Internetauftritt der Tagesschau für das
Bereistellen seiner Videobeiträge im OGG Theora Format [4].
Dieses Jahr möchte die FSFE noch mehr die Öffentlichkeit mit einbeziehen
und ruft daher zu Nominierungsvorschlägen möglicher Preisträger auf.
Wenn Sie eine Institution oder ein Unternehmen kennen, das sich durch
seinen beispielhaften Einsatz Offener Standards auszeichnet, senden Sie
den Vorschlag bitte mit einer Begründung *bis zum 1.Februrar* an
germany(a)fsfeurope.org.

= Über die Free Software Foundation Europe =
Die Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) ist eine gemeinnützige,
regierungsunabhängige Organisation, die in vielen Ländern Europas
aktiv und in vielen globalen Aktionen involviert ist. Der Zugang zu
Software entscheidet über die Teilhabe an der digitalen Gesellschaft.
Um Chancengleichheit im Informationszeitalter und die Freiheit des

Europe (FSFE) der Förderung Freier Software, welche dadurch definiert
wird, dass sie von jedem Menschen uneingeschränkt benutzt, untersucht,

Bewusstsein zu rücken und der Freien Software politische und
rechtliche Sicherheit zu verschaffen, sind die wichtigsten Ziele der
FSFE, die 2001 gegründet wurde.
