= Call for events: Werde ein Teil des Document Freedom Day 2015 =

Document Freedom Day (#DFD2015) ist eine globale Kampagne zur Befreiung
von Dokumenten, die am 25. März 2015 zu lokalen Veranstaltungen rund um
den Globus aufruft. Werde ein Teil des Document Freedom Day und
registriere Deine eigene DFD Veranstaltung für 2015![1]
Seit 2008 veranstalten Menschen, denen eine freie
Informationsgesellschaft am Herzen liegt, jedes Jahr den Document
Freedom Day, um auf die Bedeutung Offener Standards[2] hinzuweisen. An
diesem Tag kommen Aktivisten aus der ganzen Welt auf lokaler Ebene
zusammen, um über Kommunikationsfreiheit zu sprechen, lokale Aktivitäten
zu veranstalten oder auf verschiedenste Weise über Offene Standards
aufzuklären. Sei Teil der Bewegung und registriere Dein DFD Team![3]
== Wie Du mitmachen kannst ==
"Jedes Jahr baut der Erfolg der gesamten Kampagne auf den
Aktivitäten von Menschen wie Dir auf, die lokale Veranstaltungen
organisieren. Darum haben wir es so einfach wie nie zuvor gemacht,
eine DFD-Veranstaltung zu organisieren.", verspricht Erik Albers,
Kopf des internationalen Document Freedom Day-Teams. "Wir bieten
Werbematerial[4] in vielen Sprachen und künstlerische Vorlagen zum
Remixen, Teilen und Verbessern[5] an, um Deine eigene Veranstaltung
bestmöglich zu bewerben."
Um die diesjährige DFD Kampagne zu koordinieren, hat das Document
Freedom Day Team der FSFE eine ganz neue Website[6] erstellt, die es Dir
einfacher machen soll, in Kontakt mit anderen Menschen auf der ganzen
Welt zu kommen, die genauso wie Du den DFD zelebrieren.
Wenn Du eine lokale Veranstaltung oder das Drucken von
Informationsmaterial planst, kannst Du uns gerne um eine finanzielle
Unterstützung bitten[7] - ermöglicht durch DFDs großzügige Sponsoren[8].
Wenn Du noch Inspiration suchst, schau Dir an, was andere Gruppen
letztes Jahr von Mexiko bis Japan gemacht haben[9].

= Positionspapier zur Förderung freier Bildungsmaterialien auf Basis Freier Software =

Das Bündnis Freie Bildung veröffentlicht heute zusammen mit der FSFE und
weiteren Bündnispartnern ihr Positionspapier zur Gestaltung und
Verwendung freier Bildungsmaterialien (auch bekannt als "Open
Educational Resources"). Darin fordert das Bündnis die konsequente
Veröffentlichung freier Bildungsmaterialien unter Verwendung offener
Lizenzen und deren Bereitstellung auf Basis Freier Software und Offener
Standards.
Das Bündnis wird von der Vision getragen, dass /"Alle
Bildungsmaterialien [...] ohne rechtliche und technische Hürden nutzbar
[sind]"/. Das kann nur durch die Verwendung Freier Software und Offener
Standards garantiert werden. Konsequenterweise wird dies zu einer
Kernforderung des initialen Positionspapieres des Bündnis Freie
Bildung[1] "Der Weg zur Stärkung freier Bildungsmaterialien". Es hat
dabei besonderen Fokus auf der Gestaltung und Verwendung freier
Bildungsmaterialien (kurz OER für "Open Educational Resources")
innerhalb des deutschen Bildungssystems.
"Open Educational Resources werden in den kommenden Jahren eine
immer größere Rolle in allen Sektoren öffentlicher und privater
Bildung spielen", versichert Erik Albers von der FSFE. "Um das
Potenzial von OER in vollem Umfang zu nutzen, ist Freie Software
unabdingbar. Wir freuen uns deshalb heute als Partner des Bündnis
Freie Bildung diese Botschaft an Politik und Gesellschaft
heranzutragen."
Das Positionspapier fordert darüber hinaus die Verwendung Freier
Software bereits beim Aus- und Aufbau von IT-Infrastrukturen zu
bedenken. Auch sollen Bildungsmaterialien, die mit öffentlichen Geldern
finanziert wurden, zukünftig als OER veröffentlicht werden. Das Bündnis
verspricht sich davon eine erhöhte Bildungschancengerechtigkeit sowie
die Förderung partizipativer Lernumgebungen. Beides Eigenschaften, die
mit zunehmender Digitalisierung von Lehr- und Lernumgebungen immer
weiter an Bedeutung gewinnen.
"Je mehr das traditionelle Klassenzimmer mit Computern ausgestattet
wird, desto wichtiger wird es, den Lernenden eine
Herstellerunabhängige, partizipative Lernumgebung mit Hilfe freier
Lernmaterialien zu bieten. Für die FSFE fängt das mit Freier
Software an und findet seine Perfektion im Zusammenspiel mit OER",
so Erik Albers.

Das Bündnis Freie Bildung[2] ist eine Koalition von Organisationen und
Personen mit dem gemeinsamen Ziel, die Verwendung und Förderung freier
Bildungsmaterialien in Politik und Gesellschaft zu verankern. Das
Bündnis wurde von Creative Commons Deutschland, der Open Knowledge
Foundation Deutschland sowie Wikimedia Deutschland ins Leben gerufen.

Jedes Jahr am 14. Februar bittet die Free Software Foundation Europe
alle Nutzer Freier Software, an die hart arbeitenden Menschen in der
Freie Software-Gemeinschaft zu denken und ihnen Anerkennung an diesem „I
love Free Software“-Tag zu zeigen.
Wie auch letztes Jahr[1] ist die Kampagne an die Menschen hinter Freier
Software gerichtet, weil sie es sind, die es uns erlauben, Software zu
nutzen, zu untersuchen, zu verbreiten und zu verbessern. Dadurch können
wir in Freiheit arbeiten. Dieses Mal liegt der Fokus besonders auf den
kleinen Beiträgen zum großen ganzen Bild der Freie SoftwareGemeinschaft.
„Wenn Leute an die Freie Software denken, die sie brauchen und
schätzen, denken viele an große und bekannte Anwendungen. Diese
Programme und die Organisationen hinter ihnen sind in der Tat sehr
wichtig. Wir sollten aber auch an die unzähligen Entwickler denken,
die ihre Freizeit und Arbeitszeit dafür aufbringen, kleinere
Programme zu schreiben und zu verbessern auf die wir uns ebenso
verlassen.“, sagt Max Mehl, der dieses Jahr die #ilovefs[2]
-Kampagne organisiert. „Programmierer sind keine Maschinen und was
sie beisteuern, verdient unseren Respekt und unsere Dankbarkeit.“
Für den „I love Free Software Day 2015“ hat die FSFE einige Vorschläge,
wie man seine Wertschätzung für die Menschen hinter Freier Software zum
Ausdruck bringen kann. Hier einige Beispiele:
- *Bilder* Ein Bild sagt mehr als tausend Worte. Die Free Software
Foundation Europe hat bereits einige Bilder[3] von Menschen, die ihre
Unterstützung für Freie Software zum Ausdruck bringen, gesammelt. Das
ist eine sehr persönliche Möglichkeit, mitzuwirken.
- *Postkarten* Wenn man seine Gedanken lieber mit Worten ausdrückt,
können unsere brandneue Postkarte dabei helfen. Sie ist nicht nur für
einen Valentinsschatz, sondern auch für Entwickelnde der Software
geeignet, die man wertschätzt. Wie andere Werbematerialien der FSFE
können Postkarten kostenlos bestellt werden[4].
- *#ilovefs* hatte online schon immer einen großen Einfluss. Deshalb
freut sich die FSFE darauf, viele Nachrichten auf Mikroblogs, Sozialen
Netzwerken, Mailinglisten und Blogs in einer Vielzahl von Sprachen zu
sehen.
- *Spenden* an Entwickler und Organisationen, die sich Freier Software
widmen, sind auch eine Möglichkeit, um seine Wertschätzung
auszudrücken. Laden Sie sie auf ein Getränk ein oder spenden Sie etwas
für eines ihrer Projekte, der FSFE[5] oder an andere Unterstützer
Freier Software[6].
„Software ist stark mit allen Aspekten unseres Lebens verbunden. Es
ist wichtig, dass diese Technologie uns bereichert, anstatt uns
einzuschränken. Entwickler, die bei Freier Software mitarbeiten,
geben allen anderen die Freiheit, Software, die sie geschrieben
haben, zu verwenden, zu verstehen, zu verändern und zu teilen. Damit
helfen sie anderen grundlegenden Freiheiten, wie Redefreiheit,
Pressefreiheit und Recht auf Privatsphäre, zu unterstützen.“, sagt
Matthias Kirschner, Vizepräsident der FSFE. „Wir sollten die
motivierende Kraft eines einfachen ‚Dankeschön‘ nicht unterschätzen,
damit Entwickler auch weiterhin Spaß daran haben, ihre wichtige
Arbeit für die Gesellschaft zu leisten. Sagen Sie deswegen am 14.
Februar Danke dafür.“
