Es ist Zeit, etwas zurückzugeben: Fellowship-Verlosung 2007!
FSFE kündigt eine Fellowship-Verlosung beim FOSDEM-Treffen in Brüssel (Belgien) an
"Die Freie-Software-Gemeinschaft ist auf das Prinzip der Kooperation sehr vieler verschiedener Teile gebaut. Die Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) arbeitet ausschließlich zum Wohl der gesamten Gemeinschaft, inklusive der Unternehmen, die Freie Software einsetzen", erklärt Georg Greve, Präsident der FSFE. "Wir tun diese Arbeit gerne und mit großem Enthusiasmus und wir denken immer daran, dass diese Arbeit zu einem großen Teil durch diejenigen ermöglicht wird, die mit uns zusammenarbeiten und uns unterstützen, allen voran die vielen Fellows der FSFE."
Stefano Maffulli, Koordinator des Fellowship der FSFE, erklärt: "Es gibt viele Wege um die Arbeit der FSFE zu unterstützen und sie sind alle wichtig, aber das Fellowship ist etwas Besonderes: Es ist eine Gemeinschaft von Leuten, die die Verantwortung übernehmen, auf jährlicher Basis etwas beizutragen, das die FSFE am Laufen hält. Viele von ihnen engagieren sich in Fellowship-Treffen und anderen Aktivitäten."
Maffulli fährt fort: "Unternehmen unterstützen die FSFE um zu zeigen, dass sie unsere Arbeit schätzen und wir wollen wiederum zeigen, dass wir unsere Fellows schätzen. Dieses Jahr freuen wir uns, dies durch das Verteilen technischer Spielzeuge zu tun, die uns von Unternehmen zur Verfügung gestellt wurden, die Freie Software unterstützen: Willkommen bei der Fellowship-Verlosung 2007!"
Am 1. April 2007 wird die FSFE die folgenden Geräte und Bücher unter all ihren Fellows verlosen:

"Wir hoffen, dass uns diese Verlosung nicht nur eine Gelegenheit bietet, unseren Fellows zu danken, sondern auch, mehr Leute über das Fellowship und die Arbeit der FSFE zu informieren", erklärt Joachim Jakobs, Pressesprecher der FSFE. "Daher stellen wir Webbuttons zum Download zur Verfügung, die direkt zur Seite der Fellowship-Verlosung [8] verlinken."
Online-Shops können die Verlosung ebenfalls unterstützen. "Sie können einen Link auf unsere Verlosungsseite setzen und / oder sie können die Vorlage für unseren Sticker [8] ausdrucken und bis März einen jeder Bestellung beifügen", bietet Jakobs eine weitere Möglichkeit zur Mithilfe an.
Stefano Maffulli fügt hinzu: "Dies ist die dritte und größte Verlosung des Fellowship bisher. Um der langfristigen Mission und Vision der FSFE Rechnung zu tragen, werden wir vermutlich anfangen, spezielle Verlosungen einzuführen, die davon abhängen, wie lange jemand schon Teil des Fellowship ist."

Er schließt: "Gleichzeitig ist dies eine wichtige Aufgabe, die manchmal ernst und schwierig sein kann. Daher hoffen wir, dass noch viele Leute zu uns kommen werden und sowohl den Spaß als auch die harte Arbeit mit uns teilen."
