1. L'Accord Fiduciaire sur les Licences ("Fiduciary Licence Agreement" - FLA) publié sous GFDL/CC-by-sa
Rendre possible la gestion juridique des Logiciels Libres devient de plus en plus important, et notamment : maintenir la possibilité de modifier les licences, s'assurer du respect des licences, ainsi que de la cohérence des droits d'auteurs.
L'Accord Fiduciaire sur les Licences de la FSFE est une délégation des droits d'auteurs conçue avec soin pour permettre aux projets de Logiciels Libres de consolider les droits d'auteurs au sein d'une organisation ou envers une personne unique.

Le FLA a été originellement développé et publié en 2002, en permettant à tout un chacun de l'utiliser à ses propres fins. La FSFE a maintenant publié une version révisée du FLA simultanément sous les termes de la GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) et de la licence Creative Commons Attribution/Share-alike (CC-by-sa).
Les projets peuvent demander à faire partie du programme fiduciaire de la FSFE, et bénéficier du réseau légal de la Freedom Task Force, ou adapter la FLA pour consolider les droits d'auteurs dans leur organisation, en s'appuyant sur leurs propres experts juridiques.

2. La FSFE annonce une grande loterie parmi ses Fellows
Comme elle l'a fait les années passées, la FSFE tient à remercier tous les Fellows pour leur aide, essentielle pour rendre ses travaux possibles. A cette fin, plusieurs compagnies ont offert du matériel et des livres à l'occasion de cette loterie 2007, qui aura lieu le 1er avril 2007. La FSFE souhaite également remercier toutes les compagnies qui ont offert les lots, et est heureuse de les transmettre à ses sympathisants.

3. La FSFE au FOSDEM à Bruxelles (Belgique)
Comme les années passées, la Free Software Foundation Europe tenait un stand au FOSDEM, l'une des plus grandes conférences sur le Logiciel Libre en Europe. Cette année, la FSFE partageait le stand avec son organisation associée espagnole, la Free Knowledge Foundation.
Shane Coughlan a présenté la Freedom Task Force dans une conférence foudroyante, et Georg Greve tînt le discours de clôture intitulé "Au delà de la GPLv3". Les membres et volontaires étaient une vingtaine à partager le travail sur le stand, répondant aux questions et discutant avec les personnes intéressées.

4. Ciarán O'Riordan au SkyCon à Limerick (Irlande)
Ciarán O'Riordan a représenté la FSFE à une conférence sur l'informatique scientifique dénommée SkyCon. Il a parlé de la GPLv3, présentant l'état actuel des travaux et ce qu'il reste à faire.
5. Fin du stage de Maria Luisa Carli
La première stagiaire de la FSFE du bureau de Zürich de la FSFE et de la Freedom Task Force, Maria Luisa Carli, a dû repartir en Italie juste après le FOSDEM pour finir ses études. Néanmoins, Marilu prévoit de rester impliquée dans les activités de la FSFE.

6. Les semaines de l'administration système selon Murphy
Février a été un mois noir pour l'administration du système de la FSFE. Tout a commencé lorsque l'un de nos principaux serveurs est tombé à la suite d'une double panne de disque sur le RAID-1 du système, immédiatement suivie par une coupure de réseau sur le site de sauvegarde, les rendant ainsi inaccessibles.
Le site web principal de la FSFE n'a pas été le seul touché : celui de notre organisation-sœur d'Amérique Latine, que nous hébergeons également sur un serveur virtuel a également été inaccessible. Après un peu de travail, nous sommes parvenus à revenir à un état à peu près normal sur une autre machine, et nous espérons bien être en mesure de ramener l'ancien serveur à la vie bientôt.
L'infrastructure de la FSFE est essentiellement organisée autour de volontaires bénévoles, y compris le portail de la Fellowship. Sa prochaine évolution est principalement retardée par le manque de temps des administrateurs et développeurs. 7. Impliquez-vous: Rejoignez le projet SELF!
SELF (Science, Education and Learning in Freedom) est un projet visant à développer une plate forme pour le partage collaboratif et la création de matériaux éducatifs libres à propos du Logiciel Libre et des Standards Ouverts. Ce projet cherchera aussi à apporter à cette plate forme du contenu de départ. Il est financé par la Commission Européenne pour une durée de deux ans, de l'été 2006 à l'été 2008.
Pendant la première moitié de l'année, l'activité s'est concentrée autour de l'analyse des matériaux existants. Maintenant, la phase d'implémentation débute, à la fois pour la plateforme (développée au Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education in Mumbai), et la mise en forme des matériaux existants.
La FSFE a mis en service une liste de diffusion pour coordonner le travail de la FSFE.
