1. La FTF présente les guides pratiques de contrôle du respect de la GPL
La Freedom Task Force (FTF) est heureuse d'annoncer une nouvelle avancée vers un accès plus facile aux informations concernant les licences du Logiciel Libre. En partenariat avec nos bénévoles, nous présentons aujourd'hui des guides pratiques de contrôle pour le respect de la GNU GPL afin d'aider les utilisateurs et les distributeurs à tirer le meilleur parti du Logiciel Libre, et d'apporter ainsi une nouvelle pierre à l'ensemble des ressources officielles disponibles sur Internet. Grâce au travail de nos traducteurs, ces guides sont disponibles en anglais, portugais, néerlandais, et le seront bientôt en français et allemand.

2. Conférence sur la GPL v3 à Bruxelles
Dans la continuité du travail de la FSFE pour la prise de conscience par le public du processus de la GPL v3, Ciaran O'Riordan a organisé une conférence de Richard Stallman sur la GPL v3, dont la transcription est disponible en ligne. Cet événement était co-organisé par l'Association Électronique Libre.

3. Démarrage du projet STACS à Paris
Le projet STACS (Science, Technologie et Société Civile) est un projet financé par l'Union Européenne dont le but est de combler le fossé entre la société civile et la recherche. La réalisation de ce projet passe par la préparation d'organisations de la société civile au moyen d'un cycle de sessions de formation. Ceci les aidera à améliorer leur capacité d'approche des questions scientifiques et de la recherche.
A travers une série d'ateliers, STACS cherchera également à amener les chercheurs à une coopération avec des organisations de la société civile, en identifiant des sujets de recherche et en aidant les gens à se rencontrer pour mener à bien des projets futurs dans le cadre du 7ème Programme Structurel Européen de l'UE.
Au sein du projet, la FSFE organisera un atelier et une session de formation sur le Logiciel Libre. La FSFE participe également à la création de pages web publiques sur le projet, en s'assurant au passage qu'elles reposeront uniquement sur des Logiciels Libres.

4. La FSFE remercie Google pour le mécénat d'un stagiaire sur un an
Les stages de la FSFE ont démarré en 2004 et ont donné à plusieurs jeunes gens la possibilité d'apprendre sur le Logiciel Libre et de travailler au sein de l'équipe de la FSFE. Ces stagiaires viennent habituellement de milieux de la gestion, des sciences sociales, du droit et de l'administration, pour participer à l'éducation des futurs décideurs et scientifiques sur le Logiciel Libre. Suite aux excellents résultats de cette expérience avec les premiers stagiaires, et aux nombreuses demandes de stage reçues, la FSFE espère développer et faire évoluer son programme de stages. La FSFE souhaite remercier Google pour nous aider à réaliser ce projet.

5. Présentation des nouveaux stagiaires de la FSFE
Guillaume Yziquel est le nouveau stagiaire de la FSFE à Zürich, il y travaillera jusqu'à début septembre. Guillaume est né à Grenoble, et a obtenu un master de mathématiques à l'École Polytechnique en 2006. Il est utilisateur de Logiciels Libres depuis 2001, depuis qu'il a rencontré l'équipe de développement de VLC. Il s'occupera principalement de la promotion des standards ouverts et contribuera aux travaux de la Freedom Task Force, tout en s'occupant des problèmes de tous les jours en tant qu'assistant de Georg Greve.
Christof Thim a rejoint la FSFE comme stagiaire de l'équipe suédoise à Gotembourg. Christof a obtenu un diplôme d'informatique commerciale à l'École Berlinoise de Commerce. Après cela, il a décidé d'étudier la sociologie, la politique et le commerce à l'université de Potsdam. Christof a rencontré la FSFE alors qu'il travaillait pour IBM en 2001. À Gotembourg il s'occupera principalement de la partie suédoise du projet SELF et à la préparation des propositions pour le 7ème Programme Structurel de l'UE.
6. Annonce d'une nouvelle rencontre italienne de la Fellowship
Une rencontre de la Fellowship va être organisée dans les prochains jours. Elle aura lieu à Cosenza le 13 mai dans un magnifique coin de l'Italie du Sud. Ce sera l'occasion pour les Fellows de se rencontrer et de mettre en avant les idées proposées au cours de la première rencontre à Bolzano. Les détails de l'événement sont tout juste publiés au moment où nous écrivons ces lignes, et se trouvent, principalement en italien, sur http://fsfe.org/en/fellows/meetings/2007_cosenza et sur les forums de fsfe.org.
La rencontre de la Fellowship sera précédée par deux jours pleins sur le Logiciel Libre. Des informations complémentaires sont également disponibles en anglais sur http://confsl.org.
