Cette année pour la Saint-Valentin, la FSFE appelle les utilisateurs de Logiciel Libre à montrer leur amour pour le Logiciel Libre. Derrière chaque initiative de logiciel libre et derrière chaque organisation, il y a de réelles personnes qui travaillent dur.
Le Logiciel Libre est partout. Sa présence sur les ordinateurs de bureau, les serveurs, les routeurs, les téléphones mobiles, les téléviseurs et d'autres appareils électroniques signifie que la plupart d'entre nous utilisent du Logiciel Libre au quotidien.
C'est pourquoi pour la Saint-Valentin, la FSFE invite chacun à montrer leur affection aux gens qui produisent, distribuent et soutiennent le Logiciel Libre.
« Cette année, pourquoi ne pas saisir l'opportunité de montrer que vous tenez aux personnes qui vous témoignent leur attention pendant toute l'année ? » suggère Karsten Gerloff, Président de la FSFE. « Le Logiciel Libre, c'est faire que la technologie s'adapte aux besoins des gens. C'est le public qui est au centre de l'attention, pas l'ordinateur. »
Sur sa page de campagne [1] , la FSFE suggère ce que les utilisateurs peuvent faire pour montrer qu'ils apprécient le Logiciel Libre. En envoyant simplement un courriel à un développeur pour dire « Merci », en leur achetant un livre ou bien en leur offrant un câlin - avec leur permission, naturellement. Un don à une société ou une association œuvrant pour le logiciel libre fait également partie des options.
Tout le monde est invité à envoyer en ligne des images d'eux-mêmes, prouvant leur amour du Logiciel Libre. Sur identi.ca et Twitter, la FSFE utilise le tag #ilovefs pour récolter des images et créer un collage (voir par exemple http://identi.ca/tag/ilovefs ).
