1. Buon compleanno FSFE
Il 10 marzo 2001, la Free Software Foundation Europe iniziava le proprie attività. In questi cinque anni sono stati raggiunti molti successi: non solo la FSFE è diventata il principale difensore europeo degli interessi del software libero, a livello nazionale, dell'Unione e delle Nazioni Unite, ma è anche riuscita a costruire una grande comunità virtuale per la libertà nell'era digitale, attraverso la Fellowship.

2. Pablo Machón e Xavier Reina si aggiungono al team della FSFE
La Free Software Foundation Europe continua ad espandere la propria forza e la propria presenza geografica: Pablo Machón e Xavier Reina sono entrati a far parte del team della FSFE. Entrambi hanno contribuito in modo prezioso per anni e sono impegnati nella crescita delle attività della FSFE in Spagna.
3. Conferenza GPLv3 a Torino
La FSFE ha organizzato a Torino una conferenza in cui Richard Stallman ha parlato del futuro del software libero e dei cambiamenti nella futura versione 3 della GNU General Public License. L'evento è stato un successo, grazie anche alla collaborazione con il Politecnico di Torino, NetStudent e Hipatia. Le registrazioni della giornata sono disponibili su

4. Gnuvox, la voce del software libero in Italia
La sezione italiana della Free Software Foundation Europe ha lanciato un progetto per migliorare la comunicazione e l'informazione sul software libero in Italia. Lo scopo è quello di diffondere il messaggio "Software libero, società libera" al di là dei confini della comunità del software libero. Il primo passo di questo progetto è il blog GNUvox.info, che pubblica ogni giorno notizie in italiano sul software libero.
5. Dichiarazione ufficiale della FSFE sul sistema brevettuale in Europa
Ciaran O'Riordan ha scritto la risposta della FSFE al questionario della Commissione Europea "Sul sistema brevettuale in Europa", che è stata inviata ed è disponibile online:

La data ultima per inviare le risposte al questionario è stata estesa al 12 aprile, quindi la FSFE invita i sostenitori del software libero a partecipare, magari seguendo l'esempio della FSFE.
6. La Fellowship della FSFE partecipa alla LUGConference 2006
Il LUGRoma ha organizzato uno dei migliori eventi comunitari degli ultimi anni in Italia. La Fellowship della FSFE ha partecipato ufficialmente nella persona di Stefano Maffulli, ma molti altri Fellow erano alla Conference, anche in quanto membri di vari LUG. L'occasione ha permesso a molti membri della comunità di incontrarsi, discutere e avanzare suggerimenti e critiche. Tra i vari temi discussi c'era anche la proposta del Fellow austriaco Stephan Peijnik (sp) di organizzare una riunione internazionale dei Fellow. 7. Karsten Gerloff al TACD
Karsten Gerloff ha rappresentato la FSFE a una conferenza su "La politica e l'ideologia della proprietà intellettuale". L'evento è stato organizzato dal TACD (Trans-Atlantic Consumer Dialogue), un forum di 65 organizzazioni di consumatori europee e statunitensi. Per due giorni, ricercatori e attivisti hanno discusso sui concetti alla base del diritto d'autore e del sistema dei brevetti. Karsten ha stabilito nuovi contatti e ha rafforzato le relazioni tra la FSFE e altre organizzazioni non governative che lavorano per l'accesso alla conoscenza.
