La Free Software Foundation Europe condanna l'azione di alcuni teppisti che hanno imbrattato il sito web ufficiale del partito di Forza Italia.
«Tali azioni mortificano il lavoro di chi da anni si batte per difendere il diritto alla libertà di parola e degli strumenti informatici» dice Stefano Maffulli, presidente della sezione italiana della Free Software Foundation Europe. «Ci sforziamo di spiegare la differenza tra 'hacker' e 'vandalo informatico': questo attacco è opera di teppisti, mentre scrivere un sistema operativo come GNU/Linux è opera di tanti bravi programmatori (hacker, appunto)».
Che cos'è la Free Software Foundation Europe:
La Free Software Foundation Europe (FSF Europe) è una organizzazione non governativa senza fini di lucro che si dedica a tutti gli aspetti del Software Libero in Europa. L'accesso al software determina chi può far parte di una società digitale. Quindi la libertà di usare, copiare, modificare e redistribuire software, come descritto nella definizione di Software Libero, permette parità di partecipazione nell'era dell'informazione.
