I just received a message from Maud Olofsson, chairman for "Centerpartiet"
in Sweden. Lennart Daléus, former chairman of "Centerpartiet" brought into
the light the issue of Free Software and software patents in a bill to
the Swedish parliament.
Maud Olofsson confirmed that "Centerpartiet" intends to continue the work
of Lennart Daléus in the future. The party is worried about the governments
lack of IT politics. Several of our neighbors are working with important
questions for the future information society while the Swedish government
remains passive in this area.
The party intends to continue to put forth bills in the parliament in order
to push the government into action, if at all possible. She invited me
to contact some other members of "Centerpartiet" to discuss the matter
further, which I of course will do.
