Svaret är betydligt bättre än det jag fick senast.
Jag har pratat med dem vid lite olika tillfällen, 'chefer' samt support.
MEN. AAC+ är mig veterligen patenterat (gissa vem.... Japp, Fraunhofer). Så det kanske är läge att verkligen göra något med detta. Igen.
Återkommer efter morgondagens möte på IRC[1] kring vinterkonferensen[2].

Hej Erik, våra webbsändningar, direkt såväl som efterhandslyssning, sänds till största delen i både Real Audio och Windows Media. Vissa ljudklipp (nyhetsinslag, kortare intervjuer) finns dock bara i Real Audio men vi kommer inom kort att kunna erbjuda även dessa klipp i både Real Audio och Windows Media. Förmodligen är det så att du försökt lyssna på ett ljudklipp som endast finns i Real Audio. Någon påtryckning från Microsoft har inte skett så vitt jag vet.
I sökandet efter något att ersätta Real med så har vi gjort en ordentlig undersökning av marknaden och då har ett av våra krav varit att det ska fungera på alla plattformar/OS och här lutar det åt AAC+.
Kan i sammanhanget tipsa om att du kan lyssna i extern spelare genom att klicka på "Dela med dig", då visas en länk för detta ändamål. Ljudformaten är naturligvis ändock de samma, men du kan välja något annat än Real Player resp Windows Media Player.

Jag kan använda YouTube och en rad andra multimediaprogram på min dator utan problem. Men av någon anledning säger SR "Tyvärr kan vi inte erbjuda denna kanal eller detta ljud i något av de ljudformat du kan spela upp" när jag försöker lyssna på radioprogrammet "Microsoft anklagas för påtryckningar" daterat 18:02, tisdag 28 augusti 2007.
Nyheten handlar om att Microsoft just köpt en standard av SiS som bara de som har programvara från Microsoft kan använda.
Har Microsoft även utövat påtryckningar på SR för att man måste ha programvara från Microsoft för att kunna lyssna på era program? Det har visst nyligt hänt BBC i England:

Jag skulle naturligtvis vilja veta varför ni inte kan "erbjuda denna kanal eller detta ljud i något av de ljudformat du kan spela upp". Men ännu hellre skulle jag vilja att ni helt enkelt började använda öppna ljudformat. Då slipper vi lägga tid på en onödig diskussion eftersom det är en självklarhet att SRs utbud på nätet ska vara lika tillgängligt för alla som utbudet i radio är.
Visst hade det varit konstigt om man bara hade kunnat lyssna på radio på radioapparater från Philips och Grundig förr i tiden?
