Jag pratade med killen som ansvarar för planering av Comdex2005. - "Du vet, vi vill satsa på Open Source och Linux, Vad var det nu ni hette? Vi har lite tracks för nya företag.. bla bla . Jag skall på möte med Svenskt Näringsliv efter lunchen!" - "... hälsa SN från oss då då!" (men det sade jag aldrig!)

Jag är upptagen under förmiddagen: Kan någon kolla in RedBridge? De är tydligen ett företag som satsar på support och utveckling av tjänster inom "open source". Suck!

Insamlingen låter inte som någon dum idé men jag har ju dålig koll på hur mycket pengar som "brukar" gå att dra in från olika håll.
Jonas, finns det inga "snälla" företag som gillar FSFE? ;-)

Jag tycker att det är en dålig ide att jobba med dem. De har med VMWare bland "sina produkter". Detta är inte Fri Programvara.
Genom att samarbeta med dem ger vi dem mer "cred" än de förtjänar ;)

Jag är tveksam till om vi kan samla in tillräckligt mycket pengar på det sättet, och om Comdex faktiskt är värt det.
Hellre då att vi står utanför Comdex som FFII gjorde förra året och lämnar ut material till besökarna där. Vi kan ju ta fram A5-papper eller så med information om fri programvara och FSF Europe. Man kanske ska fråga om lov först, det vet jag ingenting om. Kalle, du som är juri? :-)
PS. Kan nån av er ställa er klocka på datorn? Nu får jag Kalles svar sorterade innan Henriks brev, till exempel :-)

Det där sista var ju faktiskt en poäng... det är rätt mycket pengar det handlar om. Undrar om det går att tjata sig in billigt/gratis? Jag måste erkänna att jag har dålig koll på sådant men vi kan ju höra hur de gjorde förra året (och kolla med COMDEX och lagarna). Jag vill minnas att Erik sa att de frågat och nekats att stå inne i byggnaden men att ingen klagade så länge de var utanför.

Mina klockor går rätt men Henriks brev brukar jag få en timme innan de skickas ;)

Jo, det skulle ju vara bra i så fall, men då måste vi ju veta vilka som ställer ut, och den informationen verkar inte finnas tillgänglig än. Men, jag måste erkänna att jag tror mer på att stå utanför COMDEX än att stå inne i ett anonymt bås, till exempel. Krasst sett, med tanke på vilka som brukar besöka Comdex i min erfarenhet, så tror jag att vi skulle kunna stå utanför Chalmers och få bättre respons än att stå i ett bås på Comdex :-)
(Vilket faktiskt inte är någon dålig idé när jag tänker på det. Ett par dagar utanför Comdex, Chalmers, IT-Universitetet och Chalmers Lindholmen borde ge ganska bra respons)
