Hello,
I just realized that the messages we spread are almost never properly tagged. Sometimes, they come with #theydontwantyou, but AFAIR we decided to use #theydontwantyouTO.
I don't know how important that is, but I guess it will be difficult to measure the reach of the campaign without a unique tag.
Apart from that, I'd say we are doing pretty good! :)
Greetings,
Guido

Yes, this is true. Hashtags should be unique and this issue is quite important because the hashtag #theydontwantyou belongs to a campaign that tells men that women might not be interested in having a relationship when they show various signals (or something like this...).
However, I wouldn't suggest #theydontwantyouto because it has 18 letter - that's far too much when you write a message which is limited to 140 letters. What do you think of using #tdwyt? It's short and maybe people invest the time to find out what this hashtag means.
Best regards, Max

Yes, we discussed this before, but not on-list. Both #theydontwantyouTO and #tdwyt are fine - we can monitor both using ThinkUp [1].
There was a bug before where the tweet that was pre-filled when you clicked on the twitter link on the website included the old #theydontwantyou tag (not #theydontwantyouTO). I fixed that this week however, and I think I replied to messages that used the old one.

Last I checked #tdwyt wasn't being used for anything else.
Best,
Sam.
